Probably not that bad....you only had what 200 invested in that pot. no since in calling there really. It is a $3.00 knockout though and play is usually pretty terrible in those so you might have been good, but I like the lay down if that makes you feel any better...lol

BTW If he had AA I am sure he would of pre flop raised so after re reading the hand I sure he had a broadway St8 on the river.....

Yeah GT I was pretty sure he made a straight on the river. I gave him too much odds to stay in the hand. Ive been having that problem lately, either I bet too much and get no value from the hand because everyone folds, or I dont bet enough and I think this was the case and someone makes the nuts on the river.

It was such a tough laydown though, Im not sure how I managed it. I was sick for almost 30 minutes after the hand. While I do think it was a good laydown I also think I should have called......and or played that hand much more agressively........

Thanks again for the analysis.....

I started to find this in computer play, that is one of the reason's I gave up playing on a computer. I think its "OUR" fault if there is a fault in any of it, and Not the computer poker servers fault. Why?

Well I honestly think the better the player, the more "THAT" player outthinks him self.
Trust me gnk You My friend are a VERY strong Player!

Some times we can't believe ( and Bob hit on this in a different post) That other players do not play as complicated as "We Do" and there's no disrespect meant here to "The Other Players" They just do not know the finer nuances of someone who is a long standing student of a type of poker game, its LOST on them. There are NO doubts about computer play to a holdem player it will send you crackers.

How many times do you see written ITS A DIFFERENT GAME? You hear and see it "many many times."

It was easy for me to vegetate in front of a computer and play 20 games at a time % betting and turning over the bucks, I had to call it a day, It meant NOTHING to me after a while, I had to get out and mix it with real people, nuts and bolts poker.

I don't care about the money now I care deeply about final tables ( no one wants to run off at the mouth, and look like a Red Neck) I am so proud that in May ( its now the 16th of May) I have made 3 final tables in live play, I never got that BUZZ playing the odd EPT live event and computer poker every night as I do with live nuts and bolts, and the moneys far smaller.

I have so many real life conversations about all sorts of stuff. It's like I have been re born.

Why dont you start a local poker club, playing live home games and take it from there We are all get stressed out with computer play its bad for us.

Best regards

GT

You probably did the right thing by folding, but I know how hard it was.

Not as hard a fold as it may seem. With so little invested, if your opponent has a weak kings also, it's a chopped pot. Chances are though, you are beat. Even if you don't think so, it wasn't worth putting your whole stack on the line to find out. Nice, disciplined play.
