For a while now I've been playing regular home games with friends. disappointed with the experience of a cloth over a kitchen table. I wanted something more.
A little project was in order. It appears to be a popular thing to do as plans, ideas, examples abound on the net.
Build a table.
It certainly adds to the experience.
This is construction finshed and ready to play. Cosmetically I may add something on the cloth and with 2 spares I could have a change also.
that's a pretty nice table....how long it take ya???
Spread over about 3 weeks, had to wait for the cloth at one stage. Apart from that most was smooth, especially the skin on my fingers when i'd finished stretching the rail. I'm not joking they were bleeding despite my attempts.. Most of the time was spent coating the wood, I tested a number of finishes till i was happy.
Worth it at end. The rail I think looks well, and the cards glide on that cloth!!
