Well i was at the 4king pkr game today , as some would have seen i had 1700 chips, then i get 88 limp, suddenly one pushes all in from the big blind , while the rest have folded over to him , and only me left, i think about it and decide he has ak , so i call to take my coin flip.
But then he hits his card on the flop so fast i was crushed , and no 8 coming on the turn or river i got wham boozeld, ill try to catch the same guy at the pokerstars event.

Well, my history is even worst.
I was in Sunday 10.000 FR at Carbon.
I limp with AA because there were a couple of players pushing in all hands preflop.
One of them raise 5BB (from 20 to 100) I reraise to 500 and he went allin.
Only he and I, the ideal scenario, so I call. He holded KK, and of course he hit the bloody K at the turn.
Yes , that scenerio goes around allot online, you know you got him crushed , but he finds the 1 miracle card in the deck to win ...
I hope HOPE to do well in the OFC event at Full Tilt Poker, are you in aswell ? and the Iron Duke TPFC. ( Small ball , no all in pre , flop , turn , ( only river )
Unless you got the the nuts, so no draws can beat ya then i call ...
Hope we get them next time, this cant go on any longer , when will justice prevail .

Oh, a 4kingpoker event at the HC Amsterdam?
Been there a few times, NLHoldem tables always full on arrival. Damm
Blackjack tables were just as fun. Best night +£300. Fun experience.
Sitting in the sun, imagining being in Da Tweede Kammer, before hopping on the tram 1,2,5 to HC...... love it
I hear you do have to take those coin flips in order to be succesfull in poker tournaments, but ok we got way different styles when it comes down, i would love for you to come to the hc amsterdam when those series start , mcop ! Dont miss out .
I hope to buy in every single event , bit expensive, but i got a role going .
Nucking, it seems you had a good time aswell at hc, the times of poker now have changed and we got allot more tables !, we now have our own poker lounge, with atleast 20 tables . The starting time is still the same , 8 o clock dutch time, and we now offer pot limit omaha hi from mondays to thursdays, and fixed limit hold em every day and no limit hold em , 2/2 tables 5/5 tables and 5/10 tables.
Soon 10/20 tables...
In begin november 1st there will be , 10/20 - 20/40 and a 25/50 table opened for 1 week , and big tables for pot limit omaha aswell , this is so people can get a good role starting before the MCOP begins.
I know ill be sitting at one of those tables just to triple up. Then i can buy in for every event . And ofcourse keep a bit in pocket , else i cant cash game.
Hope to see you at the mcop events aswell!
For all others intrested in this event, you can watch some clips at youtube just write down mcop 2007 to start out with , and see how many pro's come down ! even jamie gold , marcel luske, noah boeken, devil fish elliot , GUS HANSEN and much much more.

hello haven't posted in awhile but want some advice and feedback as how i played this hand.....the tourney was the 5$$ A game of the FT daily double blinds 1.5k/3k....i have 72000 in cutoof position..1st seat after BB has 75000....he limps evry1 folds to me...ibet put little more than pot 12000...SB BB folds....he calls...flop comes...BTW i have a 10 clubs....flop comes 2 8 5 rainbow....i had been playing awhile obviously showed down some strong hands folded j's and a couple a flsh drws and let pple know..maybe amistake???? anyway i bet 24000....he calls....now im a little worried w the 2 smooth calls.....turn comes j puts 2 diamonds on board i bet 1/2 pot another 24000...he just calls again!!!!! so now im into this pot for most of my$$$$ and him 2 riv comes a 9 no diamond he chks so i chk now too late puttin him on a pr better than board....he shows j 9 offsuit....anyway i had little $$ left ended up 21st out of just over 1000 but the payoffs obvioulsy wuda been better had i just gone and had a sandwich lol......Am i the donkey for my cont bets or is he for the outta pos call w j9????.......Ive lost a gd deal of money learnn....starting to make a comeback playin better strtin hands and positional play...but times like this when i shuda padded my Bankroll get me down about online poker....my betting patterns and his shouldve dictacted a fold frm him anyway.....gld i can vent a liitlle and any advice will be greatly appreciated...

Well he limps in , everybody folds . Now gettting this you make a standard raise with a pretty decent hand , he flat calls to see a flop, it doesnt improve your hand , nor does it improve his hand, he checks over to you , knowingly you got ak aq a10 ( probs on aj ) , you bet out, he calls and hits his jack, now in his sight of view if you did have any of these first 3 hands he is infront, unlikely that you would have qq kk aa, or a set, having to have checked behind him ( i love the mind game of poker ) this is where the skill really comes into play .. , he checks again with the j and weak 9 kicker with a rainbow board, you bet half the pot ( here is your mistake ) you dont show any marginal strenght of your hand, your showing ak aq , best option here is to bet either pot , or check , if you make a small bet ( lets say not over half the pot , he will be forced to see another card if he doesnt believe you ) , this card is a 9 which improves his hand to j's and 9's up , and he checks again , hoping you bet out with your ace high again , but you wisely checked at the end .. this is a common situation , when the chip staks are so high , and blinds are low .
35 out of the 100 makes the mistake of betting again with 2 x big bets called on the flop and turn, getting blinded out that your opponent is showing weakness , ( and 35 % is allot .. ) but it's a trappers check not a weakness check , since he called pre , flop and turn , and now is waiting for you to make another stab at it.

Unfortunately that is the way it goes when you are putting your chips allin. There are so many online players that play allin AK AQ any 2 high cards suited or not and so forth. I myself have been playing freerolls building bankrolls. There are only 2 sites out of the dozens I have played on that I have ever deposited. FTp of course nd just last month I made my first deposit on carbon ( only because of the mayday event they held.)
But in all actuality if you look at online poker. As long as you know you are getting your chips in when you know you have the best hand you just have to take the chance.
In Carbon's 10K tourney I folded pocket dueces not once but twice because of the allin game and both times I folded it was due to high pocket pairs but both times I would have won because the duece hit the flop. But I will tell you this. You will lose more in the long run playin allin preflop than you will win.
Most that play allin preflop do it because they don't know how to play their cards. I am not a perfect poker player I make mistakes and like everone else make a bad call from time to time. But I learn from my mistakes.
