This is a mistake most amateurs make in online poker rooms. I guess he doesn't realize he is gaining anything from his bluff. You can't complain though right?? I'm assuming top 2 got paid if it was 6 people.

Nice one!

In the games I play I often get berated by other players for betting a hand in a similar situation.

I flop say 2 pair and then bet the flop. Other players go mad and i just laugh.

I mean - if there were 3 players left and 2 got paid they ok i might check just in case a four card flush was on the board etc but not with 4 or 5 players left!!

If they had a bettter hand they surely they would call?

Going back to the opening post hand - what if the bluff has your 22 beat and he gets others to fold better hands than his.

What difference does it make to him if there are 4 or 5 players left at that point?

Also I may also bluff if the player that has gone all in is a weak player - I want to keep he in the game - not a better player get his chips!! LOL

Implicit collusion can be taken too far sometimes!
