Default My bad beat UltimateBet

Just today i was playing on ultimatebet and i flopped a straight. of course i checked and so did everybody else. i turn gave one of my oppenents two pair so they started betting. i raised a good bit and then they raised me back. i replied with an all in. he called. i had the best hand but no wait the river card hasnt come out to destroy my hopes anddreams of winning a freakin freeroll. it was (of course) another one of his cards giving him a full house.... what a joke... thx alot ultimate bet... u have managed to dissapoint once again... lol... oh well i come to expect that from a website that supports Phil helmuth..ha

Default frustrated

I'll be honest with you things like this happen to me every day. I am getting so frustrated with poker, espciailly freerolls because of all the a-holes (excuse my french). The river comes out and bam. I'm always way ahead of my opponent and its like I get screwed cus he decides to suckout by hitting a two outer. I will have AA and will lose to like 10 6, where he hits his 2nd 10 on the turn, and 3rd on the river. It is just ridiculous I feel like it happens all the time. Ok sorry I had to vent there lol. But i'm curious what people think I should do to avoid this? Not go all in very often at all? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh and this is my very first post so hello everyone.

Things like that happen at every cardroom. That includes every brick and mortar room, every online room, and even the dining room of my home.If the guy caught top two pair on the turn after you had checked the flop then I dont think you actually suffered much of a bad beat depending on the circumstances of the table you were playing.Slowplaying any hand is a risk and my opinion is that straights are very risky.I dont mean to sound negative of your play. Its just my opinion.Better luck next game!!!

Don't think there is anything you can do about the way the cards are dealt. It happens to us all from time to time. You said you flopped a straight. How many players were there??? You did not say. I would have not checked (slow played) to give others any free cards. Maybe not gone all in but i would at least bet 4-5x the BB That would have sent the message you have a serious hand. That is the problem with free rolls, To many players playing rags and taking chances they will hit a good hand no matter what someone with a good hand bets. Don't give up!!!

You may have been disappointed but your opponent was pleasantly surprized and elated. That is the nature of the game better luck next time. Its an accomplishment just to make it to final table.
