If you play AA at Absolute poker play them like a small pocket pair caus if you all in right away or slow play them they always seem to get beat. anyone else concur?

Just think of it this way.

When the fish are feeding the only happy people are the sharks..

If you have to, lay AA down and wait. Patience is the most valuable weapon you can have in your armoury.

Let the fish play. You sit tight, and when the time comes you pounce, and you pounce BIG.

AA is s good hand, but its not infallible and it sure as hell isnt immune to suckouts. So tread carefully with it.

And why stop playing.. I am pretty sure at some stage you will beat AA with a hand that really you shouldnt win with. Its even stevens.

If everyone quit when their AAs got cracked then I'd be the best player in the world... Simply because I'd be the only one.....

Nope I dont...

The problem with alot of people is that they commit everything pre flop with AA and get called. Then they get stomped on and cant understand why...

AA isnt a hand to go all in with unless forced to do so, and even then alarm bells should be ringing.

If your AA doesnt hit a set then be ready to lay it down to a large raise.

I would rather take a smaller pot with AA or risk laying it down than commit everything and find I've had my Aces cracked.

Control the pot. Dont raise madly. Just take your time, watch the board, and if someone suddenly pulls an all in out of nowhere the odds are you are beaten and discretion being hte better part of valour means LAY IT DOWN..

I agree completely. A lot of players seem to overplay AA as if it were an unbeatable hand. I wouldn't say you need to hit a set to consider it strong against a large bet but it's definitely a hand that calls for discipline.
