i dont know if this was such a bad beat as just the way the game goes sometimes. i dont remember the exacts so ill just give you the jist and you'll get the point. i was playing at a .5/.10 table and i was dealt A rag suited clubs. i limped in and saw the flop. 8c 8d some other random club. player one bets .30 everyone else folds to me. i raise to .60 and he calls. at this point i put him on an 8 to make the set so am eagerly awaiting my flush. the turn comes another random card that i dont remember lol. he check and i oblige. the turn comes 10 of clubs. hey hey hey lets see if we cant get him to come off some cash. at this point im guilty of falling in love with my hand
and forgetting all about what he might have. we both end up all in and he turns(you guessed it) the 8 10 giving him the boat and the nutts
. like i said this wasnt really a bad beat, just a situation where we both needed the same card. i was upset a bit but had a good laugh. this is why i love the game.
the card i had been waiting for was the one card i didnt need to see. lolol
