Default What steps so that 4kingpoker gets credit

I don't understand how 4kingpoker benefits when someone plays poker online.
I think I'll give Carbon a try.
How do I do this so that 4kingpoker receives the most benefit?
Perhaps this is all explained elsewhere. I searched to no avail.

Default signing up to poker room via our links

hi TeeKae

I don't understand how 4kingpoker benefits when someone plays poker online.

All poker rooms have what are called affiliates - all poker forums and poker review / information sites are generally affiliates who receive a commisssion for introducing new players to poker rooms - either by running tournaments or by reviewing the sites and making recommendations or having exclusive bonus offers for their players

The commission we and other sites recieve is paid for by the poker room themsleves NOT the players - so chosing to signup via our links and not direct to a poker room costs players nothing

The commission we receive pays for my time, the running of the site and most importantly the funding of the freerolls. tournaments, forum prizes and reinvested into adding more resources provided on 4kingpoker

Please note that virtually ALL poker forums / resources exist because they are affiliates (some dont like the discuss the business side but I make no secret of this)

YES running the site properly is (more than) a full time job and therefore a business - as well as a great community the amount of tournaments and forum prizes is dependent on visitors to our reviews etc (and also forum members) signing up via our links to the poker rooms.

I think I'll give Carbon a try.

Good Choice ;-)

How do I do this so that 4kingpoker receives the most benefit?

By signing up to any of the rooms that we have reviewed (over 50 now) using the download links or visit site links or poker room banners in our reviews - this means that you will get any of our exclusive better than direct bonus offers - and all our bonuses are at least as good as signing up direct

Perhaps this is all explained elsewhere. I searched to no avail.

I think there is somemore information here ...

That really helps.
I surely don't begrudge you making a Dollar/Pound/Euro (or many) for all your work.
I love freerolls, but freerolls aren't free.
Why don't you have a "Support 4kingpoker" link prominently on the home page and anywhere else it fits? Thanks.

Default signing up via our links etc

hi all

just a quick technical note on signing up via our links etc ... we get credited (although no commission) at the point where you signup via our links. SO even if you dont play to play for real money or want to just play freerolls ... Please signup via our links anyway as this is the poit that you will get tracked as signing up via us or not ... after that or if you click on other links from other sites before hand ... you wouldnt get tracked to us ... this is also important for making sure you get our bonuses and not stuck with the standard one or one from somewhere else

TeeKae

thanks for the suggestion ...

Why don't you have a "Support 4kingpoker" link prominently on the home page and anywhere else it fits?

not sure that really sits well with me ... as it's a bit like putting out a begging bowl and saying give a donation ...

basically I am not a super aggressive affiliate ... I take the "build something useful and they will come (or might)" and then let everyone know that signing up via our links rather than direct or through another site makes the site some money

so in that sense it is a business (not a charity) and I hopefully offer a free service (the forum, reviews, strategy articles etc etc) that members and visitors enjoy enough to given the choice go through our links to signup at a new site

It's probably not 100% effective as I dont (hopefully) ram that down visitors or members throats - but I do ok and 4kingpoker is growing and I can keep adding resources and tournaments

hope that makes sense - and as always I really appreciate members / visitors who help the site by signing up to new sites via us ... but thats not a the only reason 4kingpoker exists ... far from it ... all members make a contribution one way or another by posting, taking part in tournaments, becoming better players etc ... all good things from having the site online.

GusHansenJr

Thanks for the gesture ... very nice of you but if I was you I would definately look after your signups / friends ... throw that tournament for them asap ... they will really appreciate it and it's them that rightly deserve the perk of joining sites through you ;-)

Very nice of you to offer though

cheers scrawnybob

on another forum i am a member of(not active)..i got an e-mail a couple weeks ago from them...don't even remember the forum name...wouldn't mention it even if i could remember but...in the e-mail they were askin for donations to help send a site admin to the WSOP in return for specific amounts donated u would get a certain percentage of their winnings( assuming they win anything at all)...now that is one of the most pathetic things i have ever seen a forum try to do
