    Default good advice

    hi GT

    thats really good advice

I would definately dump a straight draw if there was a potential made flush on the flop

even on the turn - but I have to admit I find it difficult to fold a straight to a probable flush by the river ... ie. if the tables are turned and I make a straight on the flop but still cant get them out the hand and the board ends up with a flush ... I find much harder to lay down

and generally I think I make the mistake of trying to keep players "honest" too much

that would be my bit of advice - you want to keep players honest now and again -

but dont do it all the time

    cheers scrawnybob

Default Classic PKR and its nothing to do with PKR flops!

    You have

    AK

    flop is:-

    234

    The pot is $10.00US

You bet how much? well I cut to the chase $10.00 bet or under is to small for a STOPPER BET.

anyway villan bets ( ie U with AKs) $10.00

    DB calls with 65s

    Turn A

Yes hero does have 2 clubs plus the made hand sT8, Hero go's all in for $47

I would fold but NO villan go's and CALLS????

Man PKR is as loose as road chippings just been laid!

What hand did you put the hero on?

    Man shakes head....

    Gypsy

Sorry I get a little PISSED off when players start saying a servers RNG is screwed when THEY have NOT read the Texture of the community cards right.and NOT every Player BLUFFS so you should really try and put another player on a RANge of HANDS! it might save you some money.

No one is saying there RNG is screwed.
a pot size bet should be enough for a stopper bet, and it's enough to say "DONT MESS" I have a GOOD HAND.

If I had know you where going to hang draw and quarter me in public, I would have asked some one else.

I know you are not known for pulling your punches, but blood hell Gypsy please cool it.....

    Hi Kera,

10 years ago I would have agreed with you re pot size bets and stopper bet, but unfortunately its now a "Brave New World" !

You are now getting a "new school" of poker player that prefered to play on a computer, and do not like live play, they have been brought up with sonic hedgehog games, and have NO respect for any player at the table's. THEY are going to win by fair means or foul!

You should know the web is covered with ( especially PKR) web site's in German and French language telling you what is the hot hands of the day, now let me look what to-days is in PKR???

O Yes K4o and 75s thease guys percentage bet EVERY HAND!

You can NOT bring OLD SCHOOL to the mondern computer poker game. It did work a long while ago but it dosnt work NOW.

It's just a game to them, they do not care about money, bankroll, gamerolls etc etc, They love the crack with there mates and the 3d game.

    anyway....

    Regards

    Gypsy.

ps. I will think about upsetting you some more when I have played the same stakes as you and see how long it takes me to play of this crazy bonus you are BUGGING Moi about.
    YOU did ask me!

Default so we're happy the PKR rng is ok now ;-)

    hi

I think you definately did say / think there was something wrong with the PKR rng in the original thread

    http://www.4kingpoker.com/forum/pkr-...ating-pkr.html

Kera - I had a guy at "OUR" techi department look at the situation and he has pointed out a few things about PKR.
which unfortuately - as with all RNG rigged / something doesnt seem right at xyz site threads / posts leads to everyone stressing and chipping in

Cracker - I could have told you ALL PKR is Fucking Pants ! if you asked me same as poker stars!

Common knowledge that PKR flops always give you some sort of ACTION FLOP, ie a flush draw, a straght draw, and a pair, AND some Aussie says it's OK and it,s ripper shella !
which is why I've spent time worrying and re looking at my assesments of the site, the RNG auditing companies, threads on other forums etc etc

thankfully (and very generously) GT has looked at the HH to help - thanks GT

AFAIKS it looks like there are NO real issues with the PKR rng and these are simply strategy issues - which I'm pretty sure as a very able live player kera will have ironed out in no time

thats what the forum is here for to help each other ;-)

I think alot of successful online play is about adapting for the style of online poker - especially from live - and Ive even noticed that the online game has definately evolved from where it was a few years ago

IMHO there are now two very big factors about current online play - alot of players play very very loose and aggressive because they feel like it & more and more players are getting "better & better" which is leading them from a solid TAG game into a changing gears TAG / LAG / super aggressive game -

Dont forget on the one hand there are alot of players out there now who do read strategy & do training courses and are generally getting a whole lot more tricky to play

and on the other there are alot of players who just want to gamble, and really dont like to fold dispite what you might be trying to tell them

this is in addition to the usual issue of 8 times the number of hands per hour, the faceless nature of online meaning nobody cares if they get caught playing bad cards or a bad bluff ...

whereas we all know in a live game - even a home game there is nothing worse than making an arse of yourself - so we all tend to play tighter and therefore good players tend to get less suprises in live game

online - those other players arent going to get embarressed by playing badly

hope thats a help - we are all quite definately here to help each other so members can be stronger players against non 4kingpoker members ;-)

    cheers scrawnybob
