Default Will you peek at others' hole cards?

Another thread made me think about this. I'm not ashamed to say, if I'm sitting at a table next to some dope or drunk who lets me see his hole cards, I will definitely look.

Do you think this is cheating, dishonest, unethical?

I have found myself looking if the player is so obvious with it. I don't go out of my way to look as I think that would be cheating. I usually warn them that others can see their cards and if then if they continue to show, well I'll guess I'll have to look too.

Yeah I'm gonna be honest here.

I also naturally see cards. My eyes are always moving looking for signs and if cards are staring back at me I see them. I will also alert the individual who is showing... This goes for home-game dealers. A lot of times guys will hold the deck too high or deal from too high. I alert as well.

i think all players will look if a player is showing his cards, its an unconscious natural reaction to an experienced player. i too on several occasions have warned friends that they were exposing the cards while dealing or playing. if i was at a casino and up against someone i have never met and they were exposing their cards, i don't think i would warn them. i am against cheating in all forms but if someone is exposing their cards it is a rookie mistake and not a form of cheating. i would never try to look at an opponents cards by bending my head at an angle because that would be cheating in my opinion.

    Talking Hmmm

Well.. depends on who it is...lol. Some of the guys I play poker with at home parties like to bluff too much and steal too much and think little ol Momma don't know nuthin bout that poker thing, so... when they get drunk and start flashing their cards around, I'm not gonna tell them...lol.

Man forget that. It's not stealing money from the church it is poker. And if some idiot is dumb enough to show me his cards then I am smart enough to look. Then it will be much easier to bust them and once it is all said and done I may tell them next time stop showing me your cards and you may last longer.

Spo, it's not poker! Poker is taking ur money without creating an unfair advantage!
I used to play cards with amateurs (just like myself) and when I saw their cards I usually folded ...out of fair play. It's an unwritten rule.
P.s. That doesn't apply for Kings or Aces

I will tell someone to hide their cards, once, maybe twice. After that. It's his problem and I will look.
