    Default Overplaying AK

Well everyone does it sometime. Here is one of mine. This is a $0.05/$0.10 ring game and I bought in in for $8.00. This is a great example of the complete brain freeze that occurs with AK sometimes. Oh and yes, look at how close I came to a HUGE suck out. Of course, if I played this any slower, I still would have lost the same amount.

Not that bad just unl altho personally if i am no longer the aggressor with ak i lay it down unless raiser is carrying a low stack...gone are the days of thinking i have ak he cant have aa / kk

Although not ur point i know but..... u call ak pre flop ....k high rainbow nothing to be scared about (except aa / kk in the hole) no str8 / no flush / and u push allin so basically u were either going to win one dollar from ur opponent then scare him off after the flop with that rarity of a friendly flop....or alternatively lose to aa / kk.

The K was a great card on the flop baring in mind we can see u are going to lose the hand anyway....u should of checked and let ur opponent bet 2 possible scenario's from this r

1...u infront this way u can extract what u can from ur opponent as he will think u are weak and there is no card that can scare you.
2....u bhind he will think K is a scare card 4 u and will slow his betting down.

This way i think in this particular spot u maximise ur winnings if ur infront and minmize ur losses....Only downside is outside chance opponent hits fullhouse if hes carrying pocket pair.
