Ok before we go off at a tangent here's what happened
*** RIVER *** [Ah]
The***4: checks
Arfer: bets $20
The***4: folds
Arfer: returns uncalled bet $20
Arfer : mucks
These are the type of hands where i think like PO i have a leak that need fixing
I knew i had to bet out but not sure if i bet the right amount here
My thought processes were that he probly didnt have the flush but more than likely a set or 66
I figured if i had bet a little less i left myself open to a re-raise (then i probly start second guessing myself) but the $20 bet showed that i wasnt going to fold if they did come back over the top
Any thoughts or advice on how i could have played this different ?Its always better to celebrate the good days than brood over the bad days
5 4k wins

Ram, please read my post again..
You always have to vbet this river for value.
You wouldn't want to value bet when you don't think you could be called by worse hands. But in this case any 6 will call and also any set (seeing that he already called almost 1/2 of his stack on the turn). Again, when someone calls a 3bet of 21$ on the turn leaving him with 25, you either put him allin or check back. A river value bet should be something like 65-70% of the pot, depending on how strong you think his hand is.0 = XP + (1 - X)(-LV + WH)

if u are thinking "DAMN I COULD OF GOT PAID MORE IF I BET LESS" mayb so in this hand but so what in that situation over 100 times would earn more betting big like u did than a small value bet. My point been this final bet is not a HOLE in ur game u just didnt get paid on this 1 who knows the guy could of had an overpair and u milked maximum on the turn.
without KNOWING what he had we can never answer definatively whatever info we give u know is irrelevent unless next time u play the same guy with the same hand......u play percentages and u should bet big on that river like i say not getting called is not BAD PLAY ON ur part.
i should imagine around 99 percent of hands can be played better and more value can be extracted BUT u never know there exact hand but u more work out what type of hands are possible / how many do u cover / how many cover u.
ps. as for bet small he reraise no way not after uve raised on the turn.

Ps following from last ps.....to be honest 2nd guessing urself to a reraise is UNBELIEVABLY BAD u have nut str8 and can only be beat if this guy has hit runner / runner as per my last post if he re-raised which is more likely option of below 2.
1.he hits flush
2.he has a 6 in his hand
if u were reraised u would probably lose 1 every 10 hands. The guy bet flop (when there was no flush draw) ,turn and river.
The ace has also dropped in which further more narrows his chances of having a flush in his hand.
Dont concentrate on the ONE hand that beats u if u do so u will not be winning much and if u did pushallin and he called with flush its a pure COLD DECK u dont kick urself over COLD DECKS,

Why would I want to talk about straights and flushes and careless final table mistakes in the "off topic" section
Would make me look even more stupid than I am...

After missing the first one,I'm looking forward to play for...
