One of my leaks playing cash tables is not getting value (&/or not getting thin value) in river spots (probably because I play so much more tournament play than I do cashgame play).
I'm thinking you need to bet this river for value. What range of hands is villain limping UTG? (AXs perhaps... low pp?).{edit - sorry.. I just saw that villain was new to the table} This would pretty much eliminate the flush from their range imo (but not being on table I really don't have a clue what that guy would be open-limping with UTG < personally I never openlimp utg).
On the flip side, if they'd flopped a set wouldn't they be re-raising you here on the turn?
Is villain capable of checking the flush on the river, hoping to induce a bet from you?
What do we think villain thinks we have here?
Not sure what the 'correct' answer is for this,..... b/f river maybe?
Is a worse hand going to call a value bet on this river? (after strength we've shown on turn).
Like I said, this'd be one of my leaks playing cashgames. I probably check it back on the river.Brad Booth - > "Like a fight... it's not how you start, it's how you finish"

YES,
reason been . he only has u beat with a flush which if he has got he SHOULD push allin anyway as u have to call with a STRONG HAND (which he knows from ur raise) and u will be getting 3/1
My point been
if u are bhind checking should not save u from ending up allin anyway BUT will save HIM from going allin if he is bhind.
plus chances are he has a 6 in his hand and thinks he str8 is a split
But like i say inmo checking is DEFO wrong

He never has a flush there; ever.
So you kinda have the nuts. obv value bet.
As for how much, allin is the answer. you 3bet him to 21$ on the turn and he called
so he is now left with 25$ I think. He will either fold, or call any bet you make hence you have to get max value if you can.0 = XP + (1 - X)(-LV + WH)

ok, 6 8 5 4 3 7...
isn't that an open ended straight...? oh, ok, lmao...yeah, the flush...well...i'd go all in with that unless u obv think he has "bigger" heart boys...but i'm renowned for skating with straights and missing flushes...so...i just did that here...must be colour blind...
...
...oops
I WILL improve...

Yes it is a 'straight' but also yes he did just hit a flush.
An 'open-ended straight draw' is when we have 4 consecutive running cards, & we make a straight if we hit a card on either end of it (aka... 'open-ended'), once we hit the straight it's no longer 'open-ended'.. we have the straight.Brad Booth - > "Like a fight... it's not how you start, it's how you finish"

yes, Chops, but i was a total pillock with villa on ft on Bodog, there's no way he should have won that game...i went awol...i had too many chips...but i have never revisited the hand...i knew i would hit two pairs, which i did, 4s and ks, but the k was a river heart...now had he the hearts already on the flop/turn...or did he chase to the river for the king and hit his flush...which was the card i needed but, unfortunately i hit raise instead of check...all in all i fucked up...duh...washer needs to concentrate...that's the bottom line...hamster can win any time he gets off his wheel...
