I just thought at the time, he doesn't have an 8. He will believe I do though because I was the blind... I put the guy on A-Q or some high cards. Boy what a mistake. I think I almost got him to fold too, because his clock ran almost all the way out before he finally called. I just never thought he had an 8, until I saw the ugly truth staring at me from my computer monitor. In hindsight, I should have just check/folded the flop. It is what I have done 1000 times when my low PP doesn't hit the flop. But I do bluff successfully sometimes. It is a part of poker I think. Input? Comments? Any of you get caught with your pants down like this? Oh well. At least it was a cheap lesson.
