Try to have the lobby open, as you have learned how important it is to know where you are in the tournament. There is the 'at the table tab' that shows your position, could check on that from time to time.

and no you should not have protected 5's preflop, instant fold

because you were not paying attention, missed that the player not even post a full blind

GULILTY I usually have the the info tab open and always checking the lobby, Playing these RTR things 2 a day though I was just kicked back on the couch with the netbook open not paying attention to much , and when I saw I was out 26th I was like OUCH. Im used to paying attention to the baord since Im usually hanging on not dominating. Yea I seem to have bad play with PP so I gotta start re-evaluating what Im doing

SO even though the one dude paid a lower blind and I had some limpers, Im folding this without taking a look,

I dunno, it seems like you should see a flop on any PP if you can get in for one BB and lets just change that river card LOL

ALSO THANKS PETEY its sucks when you know it happening, it even sucks more when you aint paying attention and all you had to do was fold

I kinda agree, problem with the above hand is you were the first to come into the pot. the limpres came in after you. Which compounds the problem being you opened the pot with out raising and being out of position....eeeek

    Protect??
What are the stack sizes of ALL the players on the table? LOL.. it is CRUCIAL info.!

Just showin' a limp in.. then the flop etc... doesn't give others the proper perspective of the situation/

fwiw (< prob not much).. I'm NEVER limping in at 125/250 (nor is any halfway decent player). typically in Late levels, if you're on a halfway decent table (good TAG/exper. MTT players), you're likely just folding 55 in EP, & open-raising in MP or LP.
w/o knowing ALL stack sizes, one can't give a proper analysis of how one would play the hand (ie. if there are re-steal sized stacks after us.. how know they should be shoving fairly wide on 15-23bb's stacks.. then we need to tighten our opening range < one small example). If there's a ton of loose pass. calling stations, then we look for hands to raise for value.

Try posting the HH in a manner that it is readable with "essential" information... for starters > STACK SIZES OF ALL PLAYERS ON YOUR TABLE!!.. secondly 'player reads', thirdly "what our image is on the table" Nobody can say what to do in a hand with great accuracy without this info.

(if you have stack sizes listed (of ALL players) then for starters people can see how deep we are, & what the effective stack sizes are).
Also, posting results does nothing to help one at the point of decision.

tryin' to read over this again a bit..
In CO with what.. 25bb's? I'm open-raising here ALL DAY LONG! Not to 'protect' as you'd call it. I'm raising to 'take initiative in the hand' (< if it happens to see a flop).. & to take the blinds down! If I get called pre, I will re-evaluate what I will do on the flop based upon board texture & player reads!

55 in CO on ~25bb stack during bubble play (or 1 off the bubble) is a 'FOLD' pre? Surely this is a level? If not, I'd strongly suggest to you DanAbs.. Do NOT listen to this advice cuz it is f'n TERRIBLE!!!!!

Just curious here, this is such a well disquised hand that this dude didnt put me on trips or he'd of never went all in like that. Limping in EP he had to be thinking I was TP GREAT KICKER AK AQ and he thought 2 pair had me dominated

Well he sucks me on the river being 90% behind, I dont think my play here is not too out of line. PERIOD

YES or NO DO I HAVE FOLD EQUITY by getting to see a flop for 1 BB - My mind was made up if anyone raised I was folding, also Im not abut to jack this preflop upto 750 (3x BB) with a weak PP but if it hits for cheap it very disquised. BUt I dont mind spending 1 BB here knowing that Im going to have put another BB the next hand and SB the following. LOSE all 3 to folding Im still at 2.3K as opposed to 2.9K

JUst curious POST FLOP IM IP so are you putting me on trips if you say yes then why ARE YOU BETTING ALL IN TO ME being that far behind, I basically told him I dont care what kind of ace you have

AT THE FLOP I was a 76% at the turn I was a 90% favorite. I kind of put this hand up as a flippant joke SO THAT IS CALLED A SUCKOUT, . But as I stated I had enough chips to get out of the hand with little damage preflop, SO WHOS FOLDING POST FLOP, for me that is a dream flop with a river suckout, not much too it. for 250 chips I should of double up my stack. If I fold Ive won .90 (and near the bottom of that top 25) If the hand holds, IM very close final table or at least got some wiggle room

Im probably wrong but Im fine with my thought process here now if my stack was 1K then Id probably fold or push all in if I had about 1.7K Id fold (HMM NOT SURE WHAT ID do with 1.7K I would need to make something happen, probably just fold and kick myself until the river card) but with 2.9K I can afford 250 chips if I have to fold it. I mean it aint like I was trying to make something happen with an 84o
