Ultimate to possible Disaster

So yesterday I was in a tourney. and a QKK flops. i preraised with KK so the pot was pretty big and i had two other callers. one bets. See zero threat to my hand except a possible straight/royal flush i call. Next card comes out and does not thing to pot so i just call hoping he got a strong hand and will keep betting. Next card J. SO now im thinking if he just hit the royal flush im screwed. I throw out a bet but it surely wasnt with the confidence I had at the begining of the hand. And he folds. lUckily i didnt get reraised all in because although i was sure I had the hand a royal flush would have been devasting to me

Now I know you aren't expecting us to believe that if he raised you were going to fold that. You hear stories all the time of the poker legends folding awesome hands, but really you were not going to fold quad kings even if you felt certain that the other guy had the royal flush.
