    Post You are correct sir

I would say you made the right decision in folding. With pocket 3s and the flop was all over cards. The villain must be representing at least a pair, May be even flopped a straight. What ever they had you correctly folded. IMHO

You made the right decision, unless you had some sort of read into his hand, ie. a type of slow playing he only does on 100% bluffs, in which case he'd still probably have 2 over cards. 33 would only have a slight edge on over cards (unsuited unconnected) and generally with a low pair you'd want to limp and have many callers (since it's relatively useless unless you hit trips, underpair isn't worth much.) and you want a lot of money to be put in the pot later since you will only hit your trips about 1/5 times, and even when you do, you may not win, so be aware of strong straight or flush draws. ( 2/50+2/49(1-2/50)+2/48(1-2/50-2/49)+2/47(1-2/50-2/49-2/48)+2/46(1-2/50-2/49-2/48-2/47))

Definate auto fold. Three overcards, str8 draw, str8 flush draw and a flush draw or a made str8. The only hand you beat here is 22 and I doubt villain is holding that. If you had called the pre flop raise, you would be folding now for sure. Set mining is fine when you get in the pot cheap. Always be wary of a min raise pre from mid position and a strong 1/2 pot c-bet post flop with a board like this. I suspect Villain is holding 2 paint or A paint. You made the right move IMO.

    Nothing wrong here.

Easy call preflop and after the preflop raise.

Easy fold after you dont hit trips.

When looking at the hand the first time, you must seriously think that after a raise and two calls in front of you, someone has to have your 33 beat. But when you consider the pot odds you are getting close to 8-1 odds on both your original call and the call after the raise. A second call preflop may be warranted, hoping to flop a set, but after missing the flop, a fold is best.

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

    Default Simple Answer

    Right or Wrong call..

Let me ask you this, if the same situation would happen again, would you fold or call?
The simple answer is this, if in any stage of the hand you feel uncomfortable playing (not thinking you had the worst hand, just uncomfortable) then i suggest youthrow and wait for the next hand..

well thats how i play anyway

    cheers
