I'm not sure, but the rule is best 5 cards win. 4 3's and an ace beats 4 3's and a 4

of course AK wins i the hand is quads with ace kicker, with an ace the worst it can happen there is the the pot is split by another player holding an ace too.

I remember so much times I had one pair served but nothing to do whan the boards shows for example 44489 and I have 33, but the other just need an overcard and wins, that's the rules of poker !

An overcard does NOT win the hand above, you hold a full house 44433.

I cant belive ppl play poker w/out knowing the best 5 CARD hand wins!
