Reading Your Poker Opponents

Reading your opponents to determine what cards they are holding is part science and part art or psychology. It is not an easy skill to learn, if it was everyone would be doing it and the games would be a lot harder to beat. It takes hard work and patience to develop your reading skill. It also involves paying attention during the game even when you are not actively involved in a hand.

I wear sunglaces even if I play online poker so the other players won't read me and I alsoo look more cool Don't mess with the guy with the sunglaces lol

I agree but online people change their style of play based on things going on in their homes. They may need to go to the store and decide to get ultra aggressive so to either double or triple up and give them time to get back or go out. Also you can't see people and you don't have to look someone in the face after you donk someone so people are way more aggressive than they would be in a live setting. I think you have to use a lot more intuition about how they are playing particular hands and how "your" image is being played at the table. I think i am a lot more successful now that i give everyone credit for being good players until they show they are just messing around and gambling. I don't get so mentally tired plaingtournaments because i watch a movie i have seen befopre and play and i have been getting deep into tournaments on a regular basses.

I like what Phil Laak did in the WSOP. Putting on full face changing makeup. I'm working on that.
