Why where you in the hand? Was there a raise preflop? Where you in the blind? There was no reason for you to be playing that hand. I find when you play an inferior hand and flop a monster, someone catches a bigger monster. X

I agree XPC, while that beat definitely hurts, unless it cost you nothing more to stay in for the flop, probably shouldn't have been in on a 3-5 in the first place. 55 is a hand to limp in with so his call was understandable. The problem with playing crap hands every now and then (which sometimes i do on a tight table where i can probably see a flop for cheap) is that what happens if you do make a hand? most likely you're outkicked at a showdown by someone who played a playable hand. Best just to stick to your guns!

I am not sure if this guy was in the blind or not, but I have caught some monster cards in my blind (read as pocket QQ) and checked, caught a third queen on the flop and pushed a little bit. guy re raises me all in, of course I am gonna call. (Flop was 3h, qd, 4s, btw) Guy turns over his cards and shows A2 off and catches a friggin straight on the turn!!! That really got me going.
