    Default Cash Games versus Tournaments

During the month of March, I have turned my attention to mainly ring games and micro and low stakes on FullTilt. I have played as low as $0.02 NL up to $0.50 RUSH NL. The majority of my time this month has been:
$0.25 RUSH NL with 1,269 hands
    $0.10 NL with 1,912 hands
$0.10 RUSH NL with 2,201 hands
5,382 out of 5,809 hands were at these three limits.

Overall, I am fairly pleased with my results. I know this is not nearly enough data to draw any conclusions at this time, but I was a curious on a few things.

    1) How do stats vary for ring games versus tournaments? I have found when I am doing well in one, my game in the other is "off" in some way.

    2) Stats, stats, and more stats... all observations and thoughts welcome. All (from reading are for FT not 6-man)

    Hands: 5,383
    Hands won: 785 (14.58%)
    Sessions: 35
    Sessions won: 24 (68.57%)
    Hours: 25.03
    Amount won: $15.36
BB/100: 1.28 (from reading target here is at least 2, up to 8 on micro stakes)
    $/100: $0.29
    BB/Hour: 2.74
    $/Hour: $0.61
    Rake: $68.24 (ouch!)

VP$IP: 22.87 (from reading target here is 17 to 22)
PFR: 17.07 (from reading target here is 8 to 11)
    W$WSF: 36.60
WTSD: 30.50 (from reading target here is around 30)
W$SD: 49.29 (from reading target here is 50 to 55)
AF: 1.94 (from reading target is 1.5 to 2.5)
    AFq: 40.32
    3Bet: 3.87
    Fold 3Bet: 74.13
Att to Steal: 38.71 (from reading target here is 32-38)
    Fold BB to Steal: 75.96
    Fold SB to Steal: 81.61

From this small sample size for March, it seems I am playing a few too many hands, and being over-aggressive pre-flop. I am also guessing my 3Bet is low.

    Any other observations?

Are you playing full ring (10 or 9 seats) or short handen (6 seats?)

These are full ring 9 and 10 man (although there are times when table is not full).

Dont know if this help but i have 5601 hands in FT only from tourneys, wich is more and less your hands in ring games, 37 games (you have 35 sessions) and 32 hours (you have 25 hours) maybe can do a comparative cash vs tourneys, this are only fulltable games with more than 11 players (no HU, 6max, 2bleups or 1 table sits) pretty much play mostly 27 players sit&g and some private with 30-40 fields

    Avg buy-in is 3.06 (from $1.50, $2.20 $2.50 and $5.50)

    Hands: 5,601
    Sessions: 37 games
Sessions won: 19 games cashed (51.4% ITM) (ROI: 91%)
    Hours: 32.1
    Amount won: $103.08
    BB/100: 3.34
    $/Hour: $3.21
    Rake: $14

VP$IP: 22.5 (from reading target here is 17 to 22)
PFR: 8.3 (from reading target here is 8 to 11)
    W$SF: 47.1
WTSD: 34.5 (from reading target here is around 30)
W$SD: 50.6 (from reading target here is 50 to 55)
    3Bet: 4

Comparing the stats the rake in rings is ridiculous $68 vs $14

About PFR i think you are raising a very open range, and in micro i dont think you need to. Im working also in that, even when both have more and less same VP$IP you are playing over aggresive and i was playing very passive, my PFR is now at least in ok number before was way down, i want to go up until 10 wich can be do it raising only top 10 hands and some times mixing with others hands, depends position, players in already, etc. but i am way less agressive than you, so not sure a PFR (8-11) will be the best for you, if you now are in 17 maybe start tryng only top 10 hands plus middle pairs,Ax, face cards, wich pretty much will low you to 12-15, then you can try to go down more if feel good and see better results.

About the rest, pretty much is about if you like more rings or tourneys, i like way more tourneys and by seeing the stats i think im ok so far staying there, i think your $/hour-won amount is too low compared with that big rake.

    Hope this help a little.

PS: only enter to answer this (wich already have it write yesterday) so to the ones that PM me please be patience, will try to answer as soon as can.

That is the only stat that has ever mattered to me. But here are some of mine to compare to maybe that will help. Only thing is I only play shorthanded so that will change things up a bit.

Spo, I think ND was looking for some stats here, not how much you won over 1700 hands and how much rake paid.

I'm not a stats follower, so this may be a little "off topic". But personally I find that in ring I play a lot more hands and in tourneys you have to consider the ability to stay in. In ring you can just reload.

The other players also play differently in ring versus tourney. Some trying to chip up big early and risk going all in to achieve that.

If it's stats time, I will attach what I've played this month at 2nl. Yes, that is 52bb/100 over 13k hands (I consider that a very smalll sample size )

ND, sorry for derailing you thread!
Just wanted to say this is my last post here as I will post ONLY if something important has to be said or if SB asks for something.
I will let the quality posters have fun.
    Cheers
