    Default playing tired

I've come to realize that getting rest might be the most important thing (at least for me) to be successful at poker. I was on a good roll for a few days, but that means I was up till 2:00am + each night. I have a 2 yr old, which means I'm up at 6:00 am if I'm lucky. All of a sudden it seemed like I was taking bad beats, getting sucked out on, etc. Then I realized I wasn't even playing some of those hands a few days earlier. Today, a little more rested, I get Q 9s first hand so I limp to see if I can see flop cheap, only a min raise so I play. Flop is Q 6 6. When I was tired I'd fig. the 2X pot bet followed by raise was just a bluffer and another Q. But being rested, obviously thats an instafold. Of course one had 6 other A A. (A on turn gave it to the A's). So I've decided not to play late too often, I don't play well enough as it is to let try and play tired.

For sure.. 'rest' is pretty important... as is having a balance in one's life (< something I'm lacking which for sure affects my game).
I find when I'm tired it's more difficult to keep the emotions in check.

playing tired is hazardous to your bankroll. drinking one of those cafftinated energy drinks isn't so beneficial to me either. next thing i know i'm on the rail trying to figure out....WHAT JUST HAPPENED?
watching a movie works out better for me when i'm tired. if i know i have an important game coming up i make sure i've gotten my rest...or a nap(yes, i said nap)

Playing tired can be a problem.

It makes it alot harder to make good decisions which will drain your bankroll if you play tired alot.

There is also the chance that you could fall asleep in the middle of a game lol.

This used to happen to me alot before but I am glad to say that it has stopped.

One sure way of not making the money is to be asleep beside the ol' laptop.

Playing drunk is also a hazard .

It's better if you will play in your right mood.

    Default don't play tired

bluffy you said playing drunk is a hazard.....

yeah right it is. i get beat by them all the time. its a hazard to me.

it's also not good to play when you have a headache. you get terrible results. but i don't think to many guys are bothered by this malady.

i can also sympathesize with you bluffy about falling asleep in the middle of a game. has happened to me quite a few times and i'm not talking about playing late night poker. i don't know if i get to bored or what but next thing i know is it's over and i'm out....
