I've come to realize that getting rest might be the most important thing (at least for me) to be successful at poker. I was on a good roll for a few days, but that means I was up till 2:00am + each night. I have a 2 yr old, which means I'm up at 6:00 am if I'm lucky. All of a sudden it seemed like I was taking bad beats, getting sucked out on, etc. Then I realized I wasn't even playing some of those hands a few days earlier. Today, a little more rested, I get Q 9s first hand so I limp to see if I can see flop cheap, only a min raise so I play. Flop is Q 6 6. When I was tired I'd fig. the 2X pot bet followed by raise was just a bluffer and another Q. But being rested, obviously thats an instafold. Of course one had 6 other A A. (A on turn gave it to the A's). So I've decided not to play late too often, I don't play well enough as it is to let try and play tired.
