Hand range when in shove or fold mode

Just curious what others consider good hands to shove when they are clearly in shove or fold mode. I hate A rag in this spot, especially in early position, seems to always be a better A calling, or worse, a worse A rag that out draws me. It's tough though when you only have so much time to make a move and you see an A, or do you think its better to not worry about your cards and just play position (i.e. shove often whenever in late pos. and no callers thus far?)

In my opinion theres different variables in every situation.

hand is obviously one and i would say your cards still matter BUT i find when desperate the main thing i look for is the chip stack size behind me. Generally i only push from the button or 1 in front but NEVER without a GOOD hand any earlier position wise.

ie - if bb has 10000 chips and i have 1000 i aint pushing against him SAME goes if the player is at a point wheres he needs to do something so best is when a player is in NO panick position BUT would be if he called and lost hence naturally he will insta fold his hand and not care and so he correctly should unless he has a decent hand.

i think late position is better because most time the chip leader will call anything
