Thread: Improving your game

    Default Improving your game

Okay, I've been playing poker for about a year now, mostly online, I decided to actually play serious about mid july this year and chose to start with a $1000 bankroll, at the moment I'm about $400 up but I just don't feel like I've learned alot in these months, considering I'm quite a new player but have read alot of articles and books on poker I have a fairly sound knowledge of the game.

I want to know does anyone else get that feeling where "Whats left for me to learn/do?"

Its completely obvious that there is so much further to go in my game, but I am just unsure where to start or process this information in a positive aspect.

Any ideas/personal experiences is greatly appreciated

    Cheers

Yeah I've played a fair amount of PL omaha, really enjoying it and the skill level is alot lower compared to hold'em which is great!

I'm not sure about moving up stakes, I have a pretty strict bankroll management plan, maybe too strict

2% Max bankroll for Online Cash and SnG
1% Max bankroll for Online Tournaments

5% for Live tournaments (Don't play live cash games as of yet)

I wouldn,t change anything. You have read the books and articles. One year isn,t all that long.I find the best experience is by playing.Keep playing and you find there is more to learn and you still will make mistakes along the way.Its a long journey.

keep doing what you are doing .continue to gain experience by play these low stakes and keep notes on players.also keep to your strategies such as patience, play to win andknow when to be aggressive.

someone told me once that you can read a million books, watch a ton of videos, but in the end its all about seeing lots and lots of hands, and paying attention to how they play out. im still convinced they all work better together.
