addicted to poker and bankrupt???

how is life going? what you say if a person is addicted to poker and also becoming bankrupt? what advise would you like to give to such person?

if you are addicted to poker then you'd be satisfied in playing for free chips. isn't the gratification in the game itself? hmmm. nothing wrong with using play money. i enjoyed using the play money chips for over a year.

I,m not happy with these answers either and with 24 yr olds winning 9 million dollar tournaments I think you will see alot more bankrupt people.I mean people losing there homes and life savings and committing suicide.All we ever hear about is the glorious good stories.I,d like to hear about all the small players quitting their jobs or school and heading to Vegas believing there going to make a fortune playing poker.And having to scrape up for a bus ticket home !!!

I don't think play tables will cut it for someone thats truly addicted, because you addicted to the rush of winning or the rush of something, heroin etc.....so the OP needs to find a new hobby that will provide the rush he craves without causing financial ruin, so i say try skydiving or bungee jumping

Isn't it about taking responsiblity for yourself and your actions? If they can't afford to play and don't have the discipline to practice good BRM, then they shouldn't be playing. Is it all that different from people spending their social security checks on lottery tickets or young actor wanna be's heading to California to "make it big"?

There will always be gamblers and risk-takers. If it's not poker, it's something else.
