No luck on PSTARS
I don't know, but I am the worst online player and add to it that I get sucked out on AA or KK about 80% of the time...I have no chance playing online poker. For instance, today I had 4700 chips and another guy at my table had 15 chips. My hands were as follows: 9-9, K-J (suited), J-10, K-K, A-J, K-7....I lost on every one and the guy who had 15 chips ended up with 4200 chips when I got knocked out finishing 9th out of 45. This guy who had 15 chips (blinds were 300-600) went all in every hand for 6 hands straight and won every one...no matter how many people called. I just couldn't believe it...Of course, he ended up knocking me out. I think it is time for me to quit online poker. I became addicted to it and it's too easy to log on. I already closed every account from other sites permamently....Anybody in the same situation? As a matter of fact, I just sent Pokerstars an email closing my account permamently! LOL. I am going to stick to casinos and live poker. Maybe one day they will legalize online poker and reputable sites will pop up...preferably American companies like Caesars or MGM...Good luck

Try another site
If you see such weird stuff on PokerStars, don't play there. Try somewhere else at very low stakes. If the cards come out in a more credible way more often, up the stakes you play at. Good luck.

no luck on ... any site afaiks
hi
afaiks from what you've said
I became addicted to it and it's too easy to log on. I already closed every account from other sites permamently
I'm guessing you havent had much luck on any site - not just pokerstars
which too me suggests it might be more about how your playing online rather than blaming the sites your playing ...
that is meant to be a postive comment - but there's no point in beating around the bush
live games can be far easier to beat than online games and vice versa - but that depends on the game and very much on playing the right game for the table live or online
I think alot of it might be simple about your hand selection - and strength your putting on hands that aren't that strong ... ok so if its 15 chip all-in then call with anything but if the guy had gone all-in everytime and got his chips up to a point that calling his all-in was suddenly for all your chips ....
stop ... think ... fold ... the guy is now worth 4200 chips and is nolonger a 15 chip short stack ... and K7 is a total sack of cr*p
if these were than hands you played in order then frankly the K-7 should have been an auto fold even if it was suited - there is absolutely no way anyone should have been calling anything but a single bet preflop with that (and thats pushing it assuming its suited)
I would check out Skalansky's Best Poker Hands Rankings
grouped 1-8
1 being most playable - 8 being the least
strictly speaking only play groups 1-3 and play group 3 with respect
until experienced then add groups 4-6 very very sparingly and not habitually
this is the single biggest hole in any players game ... playing too wider range badly and with little understanding of just how those additional hands should be played
9-9 ... Grp 3
K-J (suited) ... Grp 3
J-10 ... grp 5
K-K ... grp 1
A-J ... grp 4
K-7 ... is so bad its not even in grp 8
so out of 6 hands at most only 3 hands should have been played - and thats assuming not for all-in calls or big pots
this is meant to be constructive advice ... but if you've been "lucky" playing live with such loose hand selection the chances are you have racked up many times as many hands online as you have live and probability and odds are catching up on your style of play
hope this is helpful - as everyone here is here to help each other

I've found in the micro stake tornements on Poker Stars you do find the random starting hands do appear to win as there are a lot of loose players who will go all the way to the river. However they don't all make it to the final table. The tighter players in the early stages tend to be there instead.
It can be an advantage and work in your favour. I had 96 off suit in the BB checked and the flop came 996. another player fired at the pot so I called. turn 5, river K. By the river he was all in, I had a few chips left. The King on the river did worry me but we were both pot committed by then. Couldn't believe it when he showed K7. Any other position I would have folded before the flop.
