you just tryed to steal the sitter and got whacked by him coming back or was just luring a stealer in and with succes lol
dont change the way you play because someone is sitting out and poker etiquette or not the guy sitting out has the right to do so and also the right to teach a stealer (you) a lesson

To me, this is the way it should be for on-line casinos as well.
I see this post has been re-vived. I agree with you here ^, all sitters hands should be mucked & yah, for sure some players use this ploy/tactic. (I'll note any player I see do this for future reference).

You're not shoving on blinds in late levels of SNG when there's a SS player 'sitting out' you have position on (& who's already mucked), knowing the blinds can't call ?? and poker etiquette or not the guy sitting out has the right to do so and also the right to teach a stealer (you) a lesson

I highly doubt that shoving 1,100 on the bubble of a DoN with T9s otb is 'stealing'.

if you go allin with 109s its just a very bad play
you risk your stack 199s ust to have a small changce that the guy doesent call

wel done for the siter specialy if it was done to trap you wich he did with succes

maybe he had notes on jou to be z blind stealer ? who knows

    greetings

Sorry but this ^ is totally inaccurate & incorrect!
T9s is a great hand to shove in that spot. In DoNs you typically have ALOT more fold equity as players will call much tighter (there's nothing to be gained as far as Tournament equity for them, to call off to KO you... their call only benefits all the other players on the table > risk vs. reward is not worth it!).

"z blind stealer" ??? If he's sitting on ~1,100 chips.. on the bubble of a DoN, how would one consider that to ever possibly be 'z blind stealer'? (imo, more like, near 100% obv. spot to shove, folding probably be a big mistake but obviously depends on other factors (ie. is BB ICM dumb?, are there other shorties on the table? Is there a better spot/player to shove into? etc.)

Not meaning to post this to 'flame your post', its just that it is clearly incorrect.

I've used the pretend to sit out strategy a few times, although I do believe that when the cards are dealt and your not sat in (at the table) then you should forfeit playing that hand.
