Netspend visa/all-access visa now no good
Pokerstars has stopped accepting all-access visa deposits and netspend. This sucks. I am done gambling online.

Actually, with the law going into effect June 1st, you cannot deposit via visa or mastercard or any card for internet poker. I just happen to play at PS....or at least I used to.....

Need some clarification from people who know this and not people who just tell me to read the entire gaming UEIGA ??? act (that will just leave with more questions and we dont need that lol) . I had another thread going that just needed a simple answer so let me try here.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN if you are getting money onto site via other methods of using a card (like as a check or something) What does YOU CAN NOT DEPOSIT mean if you are depositing,
Are you being reported to the govenment as putting money into online
Are the sites going to freeze money that came off a card (even as a check)
In the unlikely event I do finally win enough money that I want to withdraw it, How do you get this money into a US account and if you have them send you a check, no bank will cash or deposit a online poker site check, will they (If thats even how they send you money, since I have never won any I dont know)
You know for the USA to be this so called super power free nation, they really tie our hands into no freedom at all, Medicine is like 100x more here than anywhere else and heaven forbid we be allowed to fund a poker account. Whats next for US citizens are we going to have passports to enter the sovereign nations within the US.Last edited by Dan Abnormal; 06-10-2010 at 04:09 PM.

it will vary
hi
all I can say is it will vary from site to site
and its not factually correct to say cards wont be accepted on all sites - these do ...
players only poker & sportsbook poker for example boast that they have the highest card acceptance rate in the industry ... they are worth checking out (now on Merge btw) as I've heard alot of players finding deposit and withdrawl there is much easier
while the banks and some processing will want to block or want to be seen to be making every effort to block
all the sites that are still US facing will be continuing to do the same as they have for the last 2years +
which is to use various payment processors and they in turn will use various means of processing deposits and withdrawls
I think so far when problems have come up with processors the poker rooms have just held onto the cash for players until the next processor or sub processor comes on to be able to handle payments etc
its really all up to the sites what they want to do and a big game of cat and mouse as far as I can figure ... bottomline though is players arent going to get into trouble under the uigea
and I guess if they all keep changing their merchant codes or whatever it is they are doing to get round it then it will just carry on as it has already
there are some sites that have and do still accept cards
cheers SBLast edited by scrawnybob; 06-10-2010 at 05:56 PM.

Pokerstars is still showing that you can make deposits using Visa and Mastercard, is this not the case?
Also echeck, Money Order/Cashiers Check and Western Union. I know that Western Union charges $15 per $100 (bit steep) but at least you can play.
How about a 4king player transfer service with other members so we could move BR's around and set up new accounts? I realise that 4king could guarantee nothing as far as these transfers go but there are some members I'd be happy to swap money with.
Of course doing such a thing would deny you of any deposit bonus but it would be ok for a small br for things like 4king tournaments. Just an idea.

All I know is that it is getting harder and harder to deposit or withdraw for U.S. players. I have heard that you can use a pre-paid visa card to deposit but it is a but complicated. You might look into that. As for withdrawals, one can usually make a withdrawal if you pay a fee and have a min amount to take out. Not sure what all the fees are, but last I knew Merge sites let you take out money for a $15 fee which sure takes a bite out of whatever you have won. It's gotten so bad I'm on the verge of giving up online poker all together.

$$$$
i have been able to use a visa debit(green dot) card on cake and absolute.(i know you hate this place sb ... but hear me out) then i use smc(send my chips) to transfer my chips elsewhere.
opened up a picc account/pay linq. going to try using that system for deposit/withdrawls end of month. still have a problem getting $ onto merge though.
