Dam KNOCKOUT SNG's !!!!
OK - my new thing is playing these 1.40 90-player SNG's only because I can't win at them for some reason. In the regular 90-player 1.10 SNG I do very well, but the KNOCKOUT is a different world. For example last night.....
I am doing very well for a change. I am bouncing around between 1st place and 5th place always within quick reach of 1st when I was not the leader. Down to 19 players and IT HAPPENS AGAIN. (Just to step back for a moment - I finished 13th twice in the last week - top 12 cash). Six players at my table I am on the button and I get the coveted KK. One player goes 2x blind raise and as it swings to me, I push 'em all in. An attempt to steal blinds but also a superior hand. The small blind folded, but Big blind calls!!! Big blind is CHIP LEADER, so all or nothing for me. I was confident, looking for him to have smaller pair or A-x. The original 2x raiser folds....just the two of us. He turns over ACE ACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, no King pops and I am out finishing 19th.
Some call it "variance"...I CALL IT BAD LUCK.

That's just cruel, nothing you can do about it.
What site are we talkin here?
Some people are just bounty hunters in the KO tournaments and will call an all in with pretty much anything to try and get a bounty.
This can work out well for your big hands but you will see alot more bad beats because of the willingness to call with lesser hands or anything suited.

Pokerstars.
Similar thing happened last night....Was in good position, hit pair of Kings on flop and lost eventually to nut-draw flush. It's not me, it's them.
