Haven't played at PS in a while, so made small dep. and remembered I used to like their sitngo ldr board promo (battle of the planets). I like it because it only counts your pts in blocks of 20 for "low orbit" and 100 for "high orbit". So winner isn't just one who plays 10 tables at a time 24 hrs a day. What amazes me is the scores that so many players get. I just watch low limit levels. At $3 buyin, ldr had around 600 pts, 100 place was around 400. That's 30 pt average for 20 str sitngo's. It doesn't use your best 20 either, it your first 20, then next 20, and so on, then your best block out of that (in other words if you have a good run in 11th to 30th, doesnt count, has to be 1 to 20, 21 to 30, or so on) To get 30 pts. you have to fin. 2nd in 10 plyer, or 4th in 27 plyer., for 20 str games. Basically you have to fin itm 20 str times, or win 10 out of 20. Is there just that many people playing on PS or is this something that is reasonably attainable. I checked ldr brd at 8 on Sun morning (8hrs into this wks contest) and ldr already has 380pts, that is average 3rd for 20 str, with only 8 hrs contest running. Maybe I just stink, but I don't see how I could do that in 800 hrs of play.

Its seeing contests like these that keep me from even entering them, because i play mainly Mtt and sit n go's but only 1 or 2 max at a time so i really have zero chance

That's why I like this promo the best. You only have to play 20 sng's for the week to qualify. That's about my limit. If I don't do well, I don't even play that many, What I like is they count the pts in blocks of 20, so you can still compete against guys that play 100+ a week, they don't just take their best 20, its always the first 20, then the next 20, and so on.

Anyway, I'm having my best week ever so far. 10 games in (3-5dollar level) and if I would get the same amount of pts for next 10 games I'd be in first place right now (pays $300 I think). Hopefully I can cont. and least get in the money for the ldr board.

there are just that many that play on PokerStars, specially at that level

With a depleted BR, I'm just playing the lowest level this week (1+.20), 9 player. I've played 10 games so far, 10 to go, and I've come in 1st 5 times, which I thought was pretty impressive, 50% win, not just itm, but 1st. If I do that for the next 10 games, it will land me in 56th place (at the moment). How is that possible, to win 10 out of 20 and only be in 56th place, oh well, guess I'll shoot for 6 or 7 wins these 10.
