    Default Poker school online

Didn't even know PS had this. For anyone looking for freerolls with less than 10000 people on PS, join the poker school. They have 6 freerolls a day for their pso ldr board. Seems to be between 1500 and 2000 players in them. Don't get too excited, they are for only $10. The ldr board has monthly prizes also and it uses an interesting method to keep score. You get 1500pts to start, then each freeroll you play in you get pts added for you cash, or come close (I think), or lose pts if you get knocked out early, so its not necessarily whoever plays the most. I'm just starting now in middle of month, so don't expect to finish to high up, but I think this is a good promo. You have to pass 2 quizzes to get the ticket to play in these btw, but they aren't hard.

I didn't know PS had this either till I came asurfing through the forums yesterday and stumbled upon your post.

Made a start on my back to school today and actually had alot of fun. The play is what I would call alot better than in the regular freerolls. There was one maniac that couldn't help himself raising and min raising everything in sight. I steered clear of him as he wreaked havoc on the tables, no hand was safe and high pocket pairs were just begging to be cracked by his J 6 off.
I enjoyed poking fun at his amazing play and some joined in, which was pleasant, not enough chat on the tables for me. He finished about 12th out of 1500 and I finished 4th so I guess I'm a teeny tiny bit better than a donk or maybe I was just lucky.
Anyhow I played a regular freeroll last night and that was just a mass of idiot play. I qualified but it's not worth it, left my head spinning, coin flip after coin flip.

I'm hoping that this ranking system will encourage tighter/smarter play as the objective seems to be to get as deep into the tourny as possible insted of just coin flipping. I hope this structure catches on and would love to see this format for other games, such as Omaha.

Thanks for bringing this to my attn. Madjek

Upon further inspection I'm declaring school full of aggrotards wreaking havoc and getting their jollies by betting every street with air and sucking out on the river.
The winning formula seems to be :-

    1. Quit your job so you can play every PSO Freeroll.
    2. Never play a hand.
    3. Do NOT sit out, you must milk the clock for all it's worth.

Congratulations you have won $5 for the month, great job!!!!!

This is not a good substitute for an affiliate organized freeroll. Players don't care about their rep (or lack off) on Pokerstars. Nice try but fail imo.

Because it was new i played a few of these last month and the impression i got was they were very easy to go deep but if you are looking at making decent money for time spent playing them you need to,as Limey says, quit your job and sell your soul to PS

I'm afraid i dont have the time or inclination to play freerolls with about 1k runners and pay $2 odd to the winner but to someone with time on their hands and a decent knowledge of the basics i could see it as a good way to build a BR
