Over the last 3 months i have to say i've deposited over 2k with no decent results other than maybe 2 final tables. I love action and becuase i'm still new that might be a bad thing becuase it seems everyone knows i always play shtyy cards. anyways im thinking i should just start depositing less money and playing lower stakes. just an idea comments are appreciated.
Yes, I would suggest starting with a bankroll of twenty or thirty dollars, micro limits and work your way up. Read as much poker strategy as you can online, and maybe buy a couple of books, easy to digest ones initially, such as Getting Started in Hold'Em by Ed Miller, or Phil Gordon's Little Green Book.

until u play for big money.. where u will find big fish u should start playing at micro tournaments or better for free..
u have to find ur own play.. is dificult but eventually u will found it
n see poker at tv n listen what they say.. they dont lie.. listen n try doing that.. u will see its help
i will give u a few tips that maybe help u
u have to play poker thinking this:
cards
your chips
other players chips
pot chips
location
blinds
average
thats r the factors.. now try to do ur best..
i live u an example so u can understand what i am saying lol
ex.: the average is 2000, most player in the table hava 3000, u have 1000 chips
u get a nice hand u have the bottom.. 2 player pay the blind but dont raise
is obvious that they dont have bad hands but u get a nice hand after 15 hands.. u will have to go all in.. if they dont pay u win the blinds.. is not bad
n if they pay.. i hope u have FE in ur hand.. but if u dont take any risk u will never win..
so the best tip i will give u is:
"PLAY AGRESSIVE!"
If you play in a any type of hold'em you should play the Selectively Agressive way.
In this theory you should play tight for most of the hands to try to trick the opposing players into thinking that you would only play good hands. Then whenever you feel enough is enough you raise and try to get people to call, thinking that you would have a high hand but in acutality you have a small hand. If the board reads small, then you have them trapped. If not then you are just having bad luck

the amount of your deposit should have nothing to do with what stakes you play if you are new. if you dont know how to play you need to start lower. if you love action and ALWAYS play shyyy cards, you are going to have problems.
I would just like to start by saying I joined this forum just so I could meantion that Pokerstars is the biggest joke poker site on the internet and it is nothing like poker what so ever. I have sat and watched AK suited, Pocket Aces, get beat by the crappiest hands you wouldnt even go all in with if you had the choice. The odds are nothing like a true card deck. In fact, I have seen myself get the same hand 3 and 4 times in a row on a couple occasions. Basically PS is a f***king joke. I recommend any real poker player who wants to at least remotely have a cunt hair of fun not to join at pokerstars.com. Otherwise your in for some great laughs. Oh and theres some real bright ones on there I might add. Just brilliant!!

I think that losing 2K in deposits might have more to do with what you've said yourself about the way you play than the limits your playing at
obviously if your a generally losing player then it makes far more sense to play at lower limits and loose less but I think the fundamental problem from what you've posted is the way you play not what your playing for ...
while at higher limits you may find trickier players which a good player can outwit with any cards ... that doesnt mean an average or learner player can expect to do the same with equally bad cards
no player should "always play sh**ty cards" certainly no player should play "sh*tty cards if everyone knows they play sh**ty cards"
the whole point about bluffing is being able to convince the other player you have NOT got shi**y cards and therefore make them fold convinced you have them beat ... you cannot do this all the time it simply does not work
I would suggest you need to work on your game ... and start from a very safe tight aggressive game without ANY clever tricks, gain experience and gain a gradually improving bankroll
everyone have different income and bankroll situations but you shouldnt be losing that kind of money assuming you are sensible about bankroll ie. with $2000 bankroll you should be playing at most with $100 (better $50) at a cash game table, ideally $50 SNG's and say $25 max buy-in MTT's this will give you enough chance to ride out the losses to the wins
if you've played above those buy-ins then you are expecting too much from your bankroll
if you've at or below those and still lost far more than you have won then you need to start over with the whole way you play the game
