I did a Google search and came up with clubwpt.com run by World poker tour it is on the stock exchange even. it looks like ultimate bet. a little, don't like the monthly fee part but USA has a problem with white collar crime (politicians). have a little $$ left on pstars & ftp..

as I understand it subscription poker clubs / sites have been tried for a couple of reasons ...
a) It seems to be a legal get around for US players (but not certain states) as its technically not gambling - you join a "club" and pay subscription / membership and then the club throws tournaments and games etc for all its members
b) To form a club where I think everyone can play all the games effectively for a fixed monthly membership (then that funding is pooled and allocated to all the games) this way your still winning money from other players but for a known monthly membership
hope thats a help - we havent currently got any reviews for these sort of sites - but I'll look into it
of course it all comes down to your own personal feelings on the UIGEA etc - but as has been commented on by many poker rooms and from actually reading the UIGEA bill DOES NOT suddenly make playing poker illegal - it has it least in theory tried to make the processing of payments etc by banks etc from poker rooms illegal - BUT the UIGEA specifically says players are not at risk from the bill - it's all about trying to stop poker by making it ackward for payment processing and doenst criminalise the players at all.
as always that is just everyones layman interpretation of the UIGEA but it is pretty clear on it
cheers scrawnybob

That is why I'm looking into subscription poker (USA based online poker sites) There making it next to impossible to deposit $$$ on Pstars FTP. etc... not the legality of playing online poker. As long as i can make enough $$ for the subscription site to pay for itself it will not be to bad, it wont be the same as FTP. etc.....It is an alternative for USA. online poker players.
