I used to play $1.00 S&G. 9 handed. (bank roll management reasons) To many players playing rags. (aka donks) I was loosing to damn often. My humble bank roll was down to around $12.00. I decided to throw the bank roll management theory to the wind. Started playing $3.40 S&G 9 handed. There are more serious players at this level. I'm now 4 cashes out of last 6 games, Three wins and One 2nd. One bubble. And my BR. is now up to over $45.00. I am never going back to donkville. I love this $hit.

nice to see your on a roll remember the key is winning more on our winning streaks than losing when the cards are not there for you
now, have said that, i dont think there is much of a difference between the 1+20/25 and the 3+40 tournaments but there also isn't much a difference between say driving 60 or 80kmh and still at some places you might get caught... yep.

my advice is: drive at a speed you feel "comfortable" at if you get what i mean.

my little recent fetish is the 3.40 supturbo, 9 ppl, 300 starting chips at FTP.

Nice derringer, but beware about throwing away the bank roll theory. You only had enough money for 3 tourneys.
If Lady Luck wasn't at your side you could be without a bank roll at all.

I know it kind of goes against BR theory. With only $12.00 left, I was willing to take a chance. (A gamble if you will) I was loosing miserably. It was like a train wreck in slow motion. To many all in morons (River Rats) every flop with total rags. I guess they didn't care about loosing a dollar, Where at the $3.40 level they seem to care about loosing a little more. It is a 3to1 ratio. It is once again enjoyable to play where before it was not fun at all.

Very nice, Derringer.. I know what you are saying though- I usually play on merge and only when I am desperate I'll play a $2 sitngo, lol -- I am really surprised at how bad the play is at $5 too though, lol.... But I don't have the bankroll yet to play anything bigger Good luck to you

Congrats on your streak but do you really think it will continue?

If you had a losing streak, your bankroll would disappear pretty fast.

Still like bankroll management (eg Chris Ferguson's 5% buyins)

thats pretty amazing but streaks dont last forever dude. sooner or later ur gonna end up in the dumps if u keep at it i say just end it now. id rather walk away with a gain then with nothing but a sore butt lol. but goodluck

it's been about two weeks since the original post. how has moving up gone? have you gone broke yet? you experienced a good start at that level, which was nice, but it is unmaintainable. you will go on a long losing streak just like you did in the $1 tourneys.
