Amerillo Slim Beaten and Robbed
News broke last night that 80-year old poker legend Amarillo Slim was robbed and assaulted in his hometown of Amarillo, Texas.

He had a rough decade. He got carjacked as well, not to mention the scandal involving his granddaughter, which cost him his working relationship with the WinStar casino (though they are a rip-off anyway). It'd be nice to see Slim have one more deep run in a major tournament.

Sounds like slim has alot of baggage he has picked up throughout his life and somehow this old baggage we carry around begins to manifest itself into very bad things happening to us

That is pathetic.He still won the World Series of Pokers and is a hall of famer and quite a character.No matter the problems and allegations in his past he doesn,t deserve that kind of treatment.He should have moved away long ago.Sounds like he may have made a few too many enemies.Be nice to play again.
