WOW i did'nt think any room would sign him after the way he acted.
he is just not a good face for poker. just my opinion.

I think - and I'm probably as guilty of it as anyone else soon after his WSOP 2006 win - in dissing his play at the final table and the whole splitting his winnings etc

BUT

He has in all fairness gone on to be a much better ambassador of poker than he's been given credit ...

he has genuinely given a big chunk of money at time to charities

he has to a degree proved himself at the poker table

and afaiks hasnt ended up really being the bad person I think everyone thought he was

just my 2p but people like a hate figure ... not sure Jamie Gold should be seen as that figure anymore ...

now Phil Helmuth is IMHO a different story - if I ever had the misfortune to be at a table with him - I'd have a hell of a job not to brain him if he started directing his sh*tty attitude in my direction

he might be able to spell POKER but he sure as hell cant spell MANNERS, GENTLEMAN or GOOD GRACE

i have not heard about the good thinks Gold has done. all you ever hear is the bad things. i know not many people like him. i don"t see him losing his bad rep anytime soon.

he pissed away alot of money in endorsements by acting the way he did. i am sure he is not all bad. but people will allways remember the bad things about him.

i do think he is a good player, did he get lucky, sure. but it was'nt all luck. he has to have some skills to win the WSOP.

Anyway, one of my best memories about poker is a hand where he get involved with gentleman Sammy during HSP.
I still don't know why Sammy was so nice to him?!?!

They are having a welcome Jamie game today at 17:00 lobby time for $100 + 9 and a $500 bounty on Jamie. They have $10 Satellites to this game at 12pm and 2pm. Wish they would of had just a $10 or less buyin so more of us could play.

I saw the promo for the welcome game at Aced. The buy-in was way too high to interest me. I think I'd rather play a $5 game at UB with Annie Duke.

why do they think it impresses us punters to have a pro on a site, look at absolute and ultimate and they are proven cheat sites but people still play there,we as punters should have a site to warn people.ffs they have been proven to cheat and nothing happens,we are all lambs to the slaughter and they hold the mint sauce
