what to do with PokerStars VVP?
Hi,
I played PokerStars and accumulated this month 1,800 VVP, and during this year 17,000
Do you have any recommends how best to use these points?
Thanks and happy new year

I've heard that playing the 210FPP satellites to the Sun.1/4mil are an okay way to try to pick up a few T-$'s (I believe it's Top 6 of 20players receives $11 T-$'s). I read a guy's poker blog about it online (a guy who's been playing for quite awhile and is a writer who.. yes... writes about poker, lol). He gives some strategy advice for playing them too. He seems to think this is the best way to try to pick up a few bucks with them.
How many FPP's do you need to play the TURBO MILLION on Stars? Maybe satellite into that with some FPP's if you don't have enough for the entry (top 1/3 of the field gets paid I think).
....idk... that's about all I know... I've spent mine in the past on Pokerstars clothing, lol. I rarely play on that site these days.Brad Booth - > "Like a fight... it's not how you start, it's how you finish"

I don't have a clue how many poker points I have. I only play tournament at Stars and you don't get many points for playing them.

I believe you are talking about FPP points on pokerstars.
If you want to spend around 1800 FPP's I'd consider:
Men's Polo Shirt 1900 fpp
Back Pack 2500 fpp
$27 Step 2 Ticket 1750 fpp
If you want to spend around 17,000 I would consider:
Nintendo Wii 24,000 fpp
Ipod Touch 32GB 25,000 fpp
$150 Gas Gift Certificate(US only) 12,000 fpp
Limited Edition Pokerstars watch 10,000 fpp
And I would be sure to cash in the 2010 - 15,000 VPP Stellar Reward for 1 FPP.
Congrats on accumulating so many FPP's. Hope the bankroll is going up just as fast.

Well... depending on your star level, bronze, silver, gold, etc...
There are different cash bonuses you can unlock. 5000 points buys a 50.00 bonus I know.

What I would do, absolutely without a doubt if I had a bunch of FPPs on Pokerstars (which I don't because I rarely play on that site, I'm only rolled for micros on there and really can't stand the play).
Once per month I would play the $1,000,000.00 Turbo Takedown!!!!! Entry fee is 3,000FPP (I think it used to be 5,000) and ~25% of the field gets paid.
In January's tournament (2010) there were 21,652 entrants ( I think in the past there was typically around 13,000 entrants with top 1/3 getting paid) and 5,000 entrants got paid with 1st place winning a whopping $60K. Even 5,000 place gets $78.00 so not too bad for 3,000 FPPs entry. (I wish Fulltilt had something that paralled this tournament... picking up 200FTPs for 20days a month to play a $30K freeroll somehow doesn't even sound anywhere close.... sigh..).

Stars latest promo would be a good way to use those fpps:
Win big by celebrating 40 billion hands dealt!
40 FPP - $40,000 Specials
You can also play in a series of special F40 FPP tournaments. Each has a buy-in of only 40 FPPs and a prize pool of $40,000. Start times will alternate between 13:40 ET & 21:40 ET each day.
To register for the Sunday Million or any of the other F40 tournaments, open the PokerStars lobby, click ‘Tourney’ & ‘Special’.

Well I have VPP's and FPP's ao I guess I'm a professional now!
Aside from that I’m going to post my idea on this, I could be totally 123%(as they say on Maury Povich) wrong, so please feel free to correct me and then ignore the rest of this post.
As I understand at the cash value of 1 FPP = 1.5 U.S. cents (roughly)
So if you are silverstar and have the 1.5x multiplier then 1 FPP = 1cent
Gold Status 1FPP = 75c.
Therefore if you gained your FPP’s under bronze, a 600FPP hat will cost you the equivalent of $9, if you gained your FPP’s under silver, a 600FPP hat will cost you the equivalent of $6 and gold would be $4.50.
Now the only things I’ve got are the hat and T-Shirt, I’d say the T-Shirt was worth $10, Hat worth $15, based on me being silverstar these items would appear to be a good deal.
I saw the long sleeve T-Shirts for 2000FPP’s (one of the few clothing items in stock) unless these are magical shirts that make me play better poker I’d say not a good deal, too pricy.
Now I don’t know the retail value of a wii but using that equation, 24,000FPP
Bronze = $360
Silver = $240
Gold = $180
So if I’m silver and I can buy it for $200 at the local superstore I’d consider that to be a waste of FPP’s
It depends on your personal preferences I guess, I originally started playing to get a Pokerstars hat and their deposit bonus. I have a Full Tilt hat (which was given to me by Clonie Gowen’s mom, that’s about as close as I’ll ever get to her but I’d like to state for the record that she’s a million times hotter than that big nosed Rousso chick) and seeing as I don’t play on that site, hence the quest for Pokerstars gear began.
I wouldn’t use them for tourneys, I consider that just putting the money back into the system, send me my gear so all my buddies get poker gear envy.
I can’t find any posts of people discussing the quality of items from the store but I did find a few nasty ones about Full Tilts plastic chipsets. I don’t play there so can’t comment myself.
I've been wanting to get a discussion going on this subject so Poker site rewards/bonuses
"Who's next?"
