Poker louge Uk - i find most play awful..am i alone

Hi all,
i still have problems to ever define any poker player as a PRO via there ability. I watched poker louge lastnight on channel 4 i think and in my lowly opinion i find them to be a bunch of poker players who have no right to be reffered to as PROFFESSIONALS not a personal attack on them i dont think any1 can be called a PROFESSIONAL poker player.

a few brief moments in the game explained vaguely.

1chris ferguson plays a q weak with top pair on flop....opponent bluffs after river giving chris 3-1 on a call to which he folds. Admittedly there was a flush and str8 out BUT chris setup a bluff to extent by playing hand WEAK and in my opinion should have took that in account and snap called.

2.Early allin player has AK guy with healthy stack makes move with K 5 and i mean healthy stacks...WTF gets called and goes how few hands after

3.A guy has pair 9's with 6 kicker all cards out betting has happened prior other player has 9 with 10 kicker and bets on river player with 9 6 reraises BUT giving the player around 4 or 5 to 1 on a call when in my opinon he was MUCH more likely to be bhind. Value betting for a small return when the chances we he was bhind


I think its the only game where PRO'S are not MUCH IF ANY better than average JO'S but purely via false promotion and familiarity of players are made out to be so. like i say if a 100 people play a raffle some1 has to win dont make them no better at raffles than any1 else.

nevertheless they make a living from it and normaly this does not just come from winning by chance.

Playing your cards means aswell fist playing the other players. This means trying to find out how they play (loose, thight, aggressive, do they tend to bluf etc.) With that knowledge and trying to read we can try to make better decisions, even if they are sometimes wrong. As reading the oponent is not a science, it is more about experience, knowledge and gutt feeling.

Therefore your examples taken completely out of context, the history of the game missing, it is hard to really judge this hands and the decisions made when they where played.

players make a living but they have the million they have won via 1 tourney win and a sign up to fulltilt or whoever which i assume includes an amount of sponsorship as well as free tourneys.....My point is winning 1 tourney is not Enough to confirm a player is worthy of been put on my tv screen playing in a decent amount of pro tournies but they are trying to make us believe that this player is AMAZING at the game and takes it to a new level....i just aint seeing it, am seeing what I see at any pokertable see good play, bad play, odd brilliant play and some god awful play

i believe very good players can have a SLIGHT edge but on the whole poker is a pyramid scheme with the only ones guaranteed profit are the hosts.
