professional poker player????

hello mates!!!!
I am new to poker. I just played poker as a game without betting but now i want to be professional in this game...any good tips for that???

Wouldn't we all like to be pros. Do you have any advice for me? All I can say is study the game, know the odds, learn everything you can about it. You should be able to calculate odds on the spot for sure. You have to be able to read poeple. And play alot of poker. Some people are naturals I suppose. Check out books from the library, read online, play, read more, play more, repeat. I think a good poker player would have the instinct and read to put it all in the middle, on a bluff, and know he is not going to get a call. I am not a pro. Some others may think I don't know what I am talking about. Oh well. I have studied, played, won, lost, up, down, and I am still not on TV. Go figure. Peace.

Be sure that you have a roll of 40K, and a good amount of savings. Be ready for the swings that you might face. Don't leave your job (if you have one), take a month long break and give it a shot, if you succeed good enough and if you aren't able to earn enough get back to your job and try to improve your game.
