How long do you guys like to let your sessions run ?
Personally, I set a goal of one hour or -30 BB, whichever happens first. Lately, though, I have had very short sessions of 30 minutes to one hour. Sometimes, I simply get restless and tilty after that. Other times, the table dies and the blinds swing around too fast.... I do tend to win +5 to +15 BB then lose it all as the game goes on... but still, one hour seems good. How about you guys ?

I'm playing mostly MTTs now but when I used to play ring, a session would mean 3 hours at 2 tables. I thinking of going back to ring, maybe at stars, but I will start to play 4 tables and maybe shorter sessions, and see how it works.
I don't have a background of playing poker on-line so I will let the more experienced players share.

I never have set a time limit and never would. The limits I put are how well I'm doing. If it is an off day then im done in a few rounds, if I'm up and running good then I will sit on the same table or tables for hours on end. Until luck runs bad or I get to tired to play soundly. If you are getting restless then if you can handle it try playing multiple tables. I hardly ever play just one at a time. Need a few tables up so I don;t get bored enough to make weak calls or chase to much just cause I want to play a hand.

It depends, if I won a big pot early... then my session is not gonna run too long... I play cash games if only I have a rakeback deal so usually my session run for 2-3 hours...

I haven't felt like sitting at cash games for too long lately. I'd say an hour or so.
If you are winning big early, then losing it, walk away when you get up. Or move to another table.

I am not a ring table player, more a MTT or sit go's.
The session long in a ring game for me depends of why i am playing, if only playing for clear a bonus, could take 2-3 hours.
If i am playing for win, always put a goal first, so is not a time thing but a goal thing, before every session i decide how much want to lose or win, some times only want to afford lose half of what i enter, so if reach that i am gone, winnings is different, some times i could plan to win 2 or 3 times my buy-in, but some times if win it really fast can adapt the plan in motion.

Time limits? gosh no!! If you are in a good game (winning because there are donks or fish handing you chips), why would you quit? Keep playing as long as the ATMs are at the table. On the other hand, if I find myself at a table where some players are always raising and reraising and pushing you off your good hands, leave!! Even if you have been there only 10 minutes. That is how long I give it to see if I can win from those idiots.

like it have breaks
hi
I like to have breaks
I totally agree with LeanandMean in the sense that you dont want to leave a good game
but similarly you also want to build up winning sessions and to a degree bank profit
so sometimes its better IMHO to bank an hourly profit and start again on a new table than it is to stay on the same one ...
that said it does rely on keeping an eye on other tables to spot ones that you also want to play on ... also I think that with similar tables you can almost outstay your welcome if you have been chipping away at pots and then scoop a couple of big ones the table can tend to dry up
I like to have plenty of coffee and stretch my legs every hour or so - sometimes its worth losing a round of blinds to make a coffee and stay at the particular table ... I guess thinking about that makes $6 and an expensive coffee
but sometimes you can see one or two players that really are lined up for shearing several times over
