Raise preflop, i actually like to check back this flop, most turns cards aren't going to be bad for you, and when you're called on this board you're behind a ton. So ya, I like to keep villain's range wide here and hope a card peels off that gives him a pair and allows you to get a bet out of him, or allow him to take a stab with air. Also nice when villain has a J and an A peels off that you probably would have never seen if you got check raised on the flop.
