Hand one is really goofy, I'm not sure what his range is when you raise to 12.5bbs preflop, but I'd imagine its pretty strong. When he bets on this board I think he rarely has a flush. I'd put him on TT,JJ, or maybe KK depending on what you think he'll try to get in preflop and won't. But ya, I interpret his bet as trying to protect his hand from a flush draw, wish you had the q of hearts there, but I'd probably just get it in given the line you took. I think a better option would be to raise to something smaller preflop though, so you don't limit his range to something very strong. (I'm not really sure how the 2nl games play, so I could definitely be wrong, maybe you'll get called wide enough to justify a 12.5x raise pre.)

    cheers

IMO these bets are just nuts. You see smaller raises at 5nl. If your bankroll can justify it, I'd give it a shot.

In hand 2, If his range for this play is any T (including 2 pair combos, 55, and excluding 99 or TT cuz I think he'd raise these) Then you've got 42.5% equity against that range, and a little less than 2 dollars behind if you call his raise. If you were in position I'd say definitely call cuz your implied odds are gonna go way up, but even under the given circumstance I think you're going to get paid enough when you hit your straight, and be good enough when you hit your overcards that calling would be profitable. If you think villain is capable of raise folding then re-raising starts to look a lot more appealing, but I'd assume he's probably willing to get it in almost always when he raises.

    cheers
