Collusion at micro limits is rampant at virtually all sites and IMO the sites should allow you to right click on a player and see where they are from, country and town, it's easy to spot two players colluding at live tables, but hard to spot online. The ONLY ring game I play is on Cake where 1 raked hand a month ( and that's all I play ) gets me into a $3k private freeroll the following month (sweet deal). I play online because there are no casinos in my province ( an Island ) and despite the frustrations of variance and the bad beats I am a profitable player. Luck is needed to win tournaments as 99 out of 100 the winner of a tournament will have sucked out at least once. Skill is required to win cash games and from what I have read you have it. I don't think PKR or any other site is "rigged", Bob mentions being dealt the same hands at the same time when multi-tabling @ FT, when you consider the rng is dealing around 2000 hands per second it's understandable. It's definately +EV to redeposit and take that bonus down if your reasonably sure you can make the requirement with 100 quid ( no pound sign on my keyboard ) hell if it takes 200 to be certain would you put 200 quid on a 1 horse race if the bookies were giving 5/1 ?

So you're recommending that they play $200NL but to buyin short at 50bb's and use 5% of their BR on the table? (while they're not beating 25NL). Hmm.... I really would question this kind of thinking.
I don't play on PKR but I do play on a number of other online poker sites. What I have noticed (and have read about from a number of sources) is that the $1/$2 live play is similiar to $10NL (0.05/0.10) online (varies from site to site, some sites the micro limits are way softer than on others).
Once one gets playing at 100NL & $200NL (online), you're on tables with some regs. who are VERY GOOD players (sure there will be fish too). I wouldn't consider moving up to $100NL without first having been a consistent winner at 25NL (then 50NL, etc.).
also.... I would NEVER consider buying in for 50bb's on a table 'ever'!!! Why would someone choose to buyin with a stack that size? It's just about the worst sized stack to play with (they'd be better off with 20bb's playing SSS than to suggest 50bb).
hope things worked out for ya (OP) and you were able to clear the bonus. Also noticed that 'Cracker' really never did come back??? I wonder how it's going for him these days?
