the program is free but i have no idea ,but i think it is availeble on the pokerstars site.
What size of starting stacks are you going with & what structure are you using for blinds? I'm considering running a weekly game, tournament-style & expecting ~18players & so will run it like an 18plyr. sng. I was considering increasing blinds every 15mins. & having them similiar to an 18plyr. on Fulltilt. (est time for game ~2.5hrs.).
Tourneys run in my area generally have really weird blind structures with stacks being extremely deep for the first hour & then REALLY short once you get into mid levels (with blinds doubling, I think this is insane). Far off from the bubble the avg. stack size on the tables is usually <8bb's.
Curious to hear about how others have set up their blind structures for home games.

I plan my home game to last 4 hours or so, with blinds moving up every 20mn, no addons and no rebuys. Then all the job is done by Tournament Director depending on starting stack size and number of players in the tourney. Of course, i can manage options to run it slower or faster but 4 hours sounds good to me. 2 hours would struggle my desire of playing live for sure.
The bad thing about it is that i can't find much players in my own area, so that we mainly stick to cash-game.![]()
In OverTime Quarantine
sick...
depending on the type of games i host i suppose...
-freeroll tournaments: 8minute levels, break after every hour, no buyin-no rebuy-no addon
-buy in tournaments: 8minute levels, break after every hour, 2 buyins-no addon
-mtt sit n go: 10minute levels, no break, no rebuys-no addon
-1table sit n go: 10min/12min levels, no break, no rebuys-no addon
best buy in amount: 1.10 & 2.20 simply because most dont have a really big stack, or dont want to spend big amounts on private games with smaller prizepots then the deepstack games etc.
i use a simple picture editor to create my personal table layouts, so that the tables actually look like they are part of the forum f.e.
makes the games more attractive i suppose...
to host games on carbonpoker i go to: pdc affiliates .com
you can simply fill out your gameplan, and they will contact you later for special details.
i hope yall have some use for all this info...

any1 in holland planning to organize a homegame?
Just use a pencil and a paper to keep track of blinds. And watch for time. That easy.
I play for a Charity poker league and the use pretty good software for our tournaments. If I go this weekend I will re-post it for you.
Best advice i have is to check out download.com
They are a great site for software. I trust them.
Just type what your looking for and pick from options of free, trial basis, or buy the software.
Hope this Helps.
cash game the best
Doubling the blinds is crazy but it can work if you cap them at a certain level.
If it is only a small home game, it should be pretty easy to find out what suits best after playing a few times.
