Poll: Leagues best on Thurs, Fri or Sat Night

hi all

as this season of league games is coming to a close I just want to have a straw poll amongst active members on the best days to run the US Open VII and Euro VII

Currently those league games are run on Thursday Nights at 7pm GMT and 7pm EST repectively

I'm just curious if running them on a Friday night or a Saturday Night are better or worse options ?

provisionally (due to trying a wider range of sites with little +ive effect) the leagues will be at 2 sites only for each of the leagues

at the moment most likely looks like ...

Bodog & Cake Poker for the US Open league

Titan & PKR Poker for the Euro league

as a side note I'm hoping to be able to continue the Team Play Trophy (TPT) at Carbon on Sundays possibly with an earlier time slot

and provisionally move the monthly HORSE game to FullTilt

The freerolls will be dropped again as they're really not a good addition to the leagues IMHO

I work every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until 10pm UK time, so only Saturday would be any use to me, and even then it would only be alternate weekends.

Saturdays are best for me, Bob. I work most Sunday evenings and quite a few evenings in the week - but could make virtually every Saturday.

I'm on the other side, cant play most of the Saturdays.

In Thursday i struggle most of the times with the PKR games because usually play other games also that day, and PKR dont let me play any other site at the same time.

So, for me a change to fridays can be good, or have Us Open in Thursdays and Euro in Fridays, but if need to be together, Thursdays are way better than Saturdays.

About the sites, too bad that Fulltilt is not in the leagues any more, i don't like much Bodog, Fulltilt or Carbon will be better for me.

Thursday works good for me in the short-day part of the year.
In the summer nothing is good, although I missed last night by only 10 minutes.

I love the idea of it being on Friday. There are not many big games on Fridays and the Sat's and Sundays are fillin up fast. I appreciate you asking us.

Yes I went for Friday too, it fits in better with other games especially if we are playing at PKR. I can't play anything else while PKR is running.

hi all

yep my gut thought was that Friday might be a better choice for the US Open and Euro games ... thinking being that more of UK & Euro members would want to stay up to play the US Open and not have to be a work next day (for most people I guess)

the key thing is to have times and days that most people can make and also doesnt conflict with big games on the poker rooms schedules - obviously they run the biggest games on the busiest times and nights so everyone is fighting over the same prime time spots

also I've got it in mind to maybe put the TPT team only game on an hour earlier (4pm EST) so that its 8pm GMT so a bit better for Euro members ???

the only other problem is to be able to squeeze in a monthly HORSE game if its on the Sunday at 2pm EST that makes it a bit tight

feel free to put other suggestions about the next season -

but please not suggestions or requests for freeroll league ... I really think that they're a waste of time in terms of attracting the right sort of active new members and a pain to admin etc

I'm a bit surprised that none could run another room at the same time.
I can run PKR (in low details), Carbon and Tilt at the same time with not much troubles and my pc is now 6 or 7 years old.

Our Thursday game became somekind of a "rendez-vous" i don't wanna miss but i'm ready to play anyday if it adds players to the field.
Let's say that i don't think that it would suits me to play it during the week-end as i can't plan on what's gonna happen during my summer week-ends.

I like Fridays too, since there are fewer private games on Friday for me.

As far as TPT, if its on Sunday, then doesn't make much difference to me whether its 4 or 5, it still conflicts with other games.

Any chance the monthly horse could be on Saturday instead of Sunday--then it wouldn't conflict with TPT at all.
