Its a kind of strategy I dont like...

If you want to make the most profit... you should always pay the max ammount of buyin imo...

    Why...?

When you got the nuts.. and only has 5$ on the table.... its not that much profit imho...
But when you have 25$ (the max buyin) then its worth playing...

    Hit "n" Runners ?
    I hate em
Especially if i hadnt had time to tag em

As far as playing that way i think in the long run it is a losing strategy cos you are gonna get called down with more marginal hands by a big stack

The only benefit i can see from playing this way is if you are sat down at the table trying to get points towards a bonus payment or a points buy in tourney if you are in a hand that has paid rake
And then you gotta play tight as hell and who wants to sit there and do that all the time

Personally, I only use this strategy if I am playing "a lot" of tables. For me this is 6 to 10. It makes the game formulmatic. And although you can win money doing this, most players at tables know this strategy and larger stacks will call you down sometimes with two rags in the hopes you are playing AKs and are only 40/60 dog. They also know there is a good chance you go away win or lose and they can get someone with a real stack at the table.

If you are looking for a "get rich quick" or a "build your bankroll" strategy, I have found the best strategy to building a bankroll consists of two simple things:

    1) bankroll management - play at the right levels ALL OF THE TIME
    2) play good solid, tight/aggressive cards - an occasional move is okay, but normally jus have the cards. In other words, be patient!

    Good luck at the tables.

I already feel the troubles of AK mentioned in your posts. I use sss for fun as I try to clear a bonus playing on 7-9 tables in 1 time. I wait for more valuable answers in the matter. For example, what are the maximum stakes are you playing sss?

10c/20c is all my bankrolls afford me now on most accounts and a couple I can play 25c/50c. But I do not do this often because I think this hurts my overall game getting this mechanic. I prefer playing one or two tables at a time and focusing on the cards and players so I am not best person to ask about SS strategy.

Although I do know key is reload at appropriate times and leave when you hit. When playing a lot of tables, this can be difficult to manage for me, and is not worth hassel for me.

Althugh it is not bad for clearing bonuses and I have seen my bankroll at least maintain (possibly grwo a little) the few times I have done this. But you need to stay ultra-mechanic and only play the top 3 to 5 hands. Lots of folding.

I don't like short stackers but I have to disagree with you on the losing strategy..
If you know very very well what u're doing it can be profitable. A good example would be THIS GUY , he's a famous shortstacker on PS.

    > I don't like short stackers

SSS players like to hear voices that someone doesn't like their strategy. Certainly it is an ultra agressive strategy and it is good against tight players. After 1-2 months of playing sss, my bankroll is higher but not much. In teh past I played on stakes 0.50/1$ NL but playing with sss I started from 0.05/0.10 NL and I try to climb up.

Some of the most important tips on poker. ALWAYS remember these and there is a considerable possibility for success ahead of you. Be patient, and the hands will come. Don't be patient, and poker will show its ugly side to you.
