I would say it's a classic children's book. I believe there has been at least 2 films and 3 different TV adaptations of it.

It's intresting you chose your screen name from it. I started a thread a while back where I explained my screen name and quite a few replied with theirs. It turned out to be very intresting.

Mine came partly from a book called to Serve them all my days or at least the TV series of it.

Hi there Susan, I am a new member here too. I have found alot of good information here in the short time on this sight. And,I have copied on paper so I can read over this information when not sitting at my computer. We have 2 puters in the house,but not always open for me. The grand-children are over here alot , and some of time they ask to use our puters to do there homework. This does`nt bother me becayse there education is of couse alot more important than me saying no I have a tournament coming up. So much for that and welcome to the forum,and good luck at the tables. I always can use some luck.Hope maybe to play in some tourney soon. Papaherb!!!

Kind of you to borrow out your computer, papaherb. There is less fights when there is not a shortage of something. It is geat to share.
I have a cord that runs from my computer to my tv, so when the 4yr old and 3yr old grandkids want a show from the computer, I display it on the TV using the extended screen option, and then I still have my screen available. My grandkids love to watch mighty machines, Beyonce's Put A Ring On It, and The Gummi Bear Song.
I guess I have also shared the computer screen with my 8 month old grandaughter. She likes to watch my computer, so I will have her show on half the computer and half of my computer I will be on a poker site.
Luckily they are not old enough for homework. Then I might have them hook up my wire and using the extended screen, watch a movie from the internet o the TV. Then they can bang away on the computer doing homework. I hope those days do not arrive very soon.

I think the most important thing I am managing to try to do in mtt games is not weep over the flop, when i just folded the probable nuts...

Poker's a hold onto your hats game, it's fun, and I don't think it should be taken too seriously...luck is a big factor...and psychology another...!

What's up peeps, doubleaa80 from the chi here. joined this forum to better my online play, as I have been consistently doing well live, but continue my transition to online play. gotta learn that tight aggressive stylee that seems so important. These forums seemed like a good place to better my game, I hope to post many hh and tourney results and situstiond to get some different eyes on my game to improve it. Our leagues are not "team play". Any collusion or soft play is strictly forbidden. It's really every man for himself. The points are awarded to the individual based on his finish and then added to the team.

Given that collusion is monitored by the poker sites themselves, it would be risky anyway. The only time I've played a game where there were teams and soft play was allowed, it was a freeroll. Even then, collusion using im or skype was not allowed.

I did not know what skype meant until Terminal Frost added his piece. That is how I communicate with one of my grandsons. I guess Facebook chat would not be allowed
nor yoohoo msgr, nor msn msgr, and definitely not majicjack. Hard to pass chips when you are not on the same table.

My brother Jimmy made it to the same table as me on a Bodog tourney with 4000 players on the first 25 hands. Then we sent off to separate rooms. Being older brother I of course had more chips.

Welcome from one newb to another, i been here like a month now and there is really good players here with good advice.The only team league i have ever played in that allowed not only dumping but we could converse about our cards was the BRL from Wass.But seeing as how no money is involved with that one it is a strictly bragging rights game
