If you're going out early, it sounds like you're playing too many hands. I've cashed in many a sng without even playing a single hand in the first 35 hands dealt. Winning a sng is not about winning a few hands (or more pots you win.. more likely to win sng). On the contrary, if you are observing your opponents, it's often the guys who you see playing almost no hands at all in the early going, are more often than not, the same guys who are cashing with much greater frequency.
SNG strategy is different from playing poker on a cash table or an mtt.
