Anyone read "A Comedy of Errors" by SnG Planet ?
I have downloaded their free ebook, and would like to know what additional preparation, if any, I would need to get started with SnGs. It is 33 pages, and I am not in a position to asses its worth. I became concerned when they stated that their book covers the same information that is covered in Colin Moshman's SnG book; that seems to be a lofty claim to me, and I would like to know what you guys think of it, or even if you have heard of it.
Please note I have only played one (1) SnG - would like to play more, but would not like to lose more money, as my cash game already gives my bankroll quite a lashing !
Any ideas ?

magpie. a heads up. I know u are serious and trying. good job. 4K does not like at all new members that allude to other sites/forums stuff. we have a problem with new members coming here and spamming basically for other sites.
So I say back away from mentioning other sites forums till u get established here.

I have this e-book, and it is a good read if you are serious about playing SnGs.
The Moshman book is also very good and should be purchased if you plan to continue to play SnG.
SnG planet is more of a resource site than a forum site (I think) and I think it is useful if forum members share information about resources like this one especially as the e-book can be downloaded for free.

This is maybe a resource site but it has room reviews like evrywhere else, which means that you should probably change the title with only the title of the book, which won't hurt i think.
I didn't read it yet, but it looks to me that it only suits NLHE Sngs, which aren't my favorite lately. Anyway i'll give it a glance, as there must have something to catch from this read.
If you're looking for resources, you should check SB's poker articles and i'll bet you you'll learn from that read too. Here is a specific article about Sngs.

hojediade: your reference to SB's article on SnG's is really good stuff. Hats off for the tip and to SB for the article.

As usually I agree with this guy here 100%.
I actually always recommend to players to read that exact e-book (Comedy Of Errors) when they're first getting started with playing STTs. It'll give you a decent foundation from which to work from (alot of players play SNG's very poorly.... quite often it's those who are transitioning from cash tables to SNG tourney play).
I believe their reference to Moshmann's book is that it follows similiar ideology of what would be optimal strategy for playing STT SNGs.
If you haven't read up much on SNGs, Comedy Of Errors is a great place to get started.Brad Booth - > "Like a fight... it's not how you start, it's how you finish"

As far as the question goes.. has anyone read it. Yes... I read their first copy out around 2yrs. ago and printed it off to review it again. Always use it as suggested reading for someone who wants to play SNGs.
As PJ mentioned... reading Moshmann's SNG Strategy I would also consider a must if you intend to play SNGs (STT). It is the best book on SNGs out there by far.Brad Booth - > "Like a fight... it's not how you start, it's how you finish"
