    Default playing on different sites

I've been playing sitngo's on FT lately and to me, the play is drastically different than playing on carbon or bodog. I had to really change the way I play. First couple I played in I never had a chance. On FT, it seems you really need to make to most of your big hands. While on the other 2 seems like you better take the chips by bettin big if you hit the flop, otherwise someone will suck out on you. How do you guys feel about big flops, bet big or try to trap or value bet. My prob is when I don't get cards or don't hit flops, I try to put out a bluff and seems like every time someone will raise. Guess thats everyones prob, what to do when card dead.

On a side note, just wondering if the different feel of the smaller sites vs bigger site is just better players at FT or is it the rng's

There is some differences in other sites vs FT, first is that are 9player games vs the 10players in the others.

Blind is 6minutes in fulltilt versus 9min/10min in the others (in regular games), structure is also different, Carbon start really low in blinds 10, 20, 30, 50 then jump fast and in level 8 already are in 300 with a 25 ante. In Fulltilt go smooth 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 120, 160, 200, 240<---level10 and never have antes.

So in the first 30minutes you are in level5 in fulltilt with bb80 when after 27minutes in Carbon you are only in level 3 in bb30 wich is a long time with low blinds then it get speed in Carbon, so need to adapt to structures.

On FT, it seems you really need to make to most of your big hands.

just wondering if the different feel of the smaller sites vs bigger site is just better players at FT or is it the rng's
Most players will use tracking software in Fulltilt, so if you are not using this or are not taking notes, you are already behind, bodog and Carbon are the softer sites around, Bodog is a casino so you have players from the casino that come to play poker and are gamblers, Fulltilt is a site exclusive for poker, you have more traffic in Fulltilt, meaning will have more regulars, more players multitabling (in other sites is more difficult because less traffic, also Merge and Bodog are not really liked for not great softwares, been more heavy, etc.).

For make a example the leader on $5 games/9men in fulltilt in October was AkaKalashnikov, this player in 30 days play more than 1000 games, he have a 43%ITM/+21%ROI and more than $1000 in winnings just in October in the $5īs (I mean WTF $1000 a month playing just $5buyins/9men).

And he is just 1 player of the leadearboard in the $5īs (imagine rest of leaderboard and bigger buyins), so use of table selection to not get in same tables with the top players of your level is very important. I think it needs to be serious about get in S&G knowledge if want to play there, get in to ICM, read a lot, post Hand Historys with trouble spots, manage hand ranges, 3bets, look on videos or anything that help to improve.

I post regularly in another forum in the S&G thread, they have some coaches there that help (the forum promote a coaching site), and also have regular players from the $2buyins to $55 or higher, most using coaching sessions, tracking software, table ninja, xpadder, multitabling from 4 to 20 tables, using SNG Wizzard after or before session to work out spots, posting bubble spots or tricky hands, (playing in Fulltilt or Stars) and some will see this like a extra income or like partial or complete job.

My point is that a lot of players that play there take this in a serious way. So, yea, i think S&Gīs in Fulltilt are tougher than other sites for the recreational player in the way that you only have 9 players by game, in MTTs you have 100īs of players so will have a big portion of bad players, but in 1 table S&Gīs with only 9 players and 3 places pay, if you get with 3 or 4 regulars you are in trouble. So, for a player that just enter there and play with out trackers, or donīt make notes, or donīt use table selection or donīt look for regulars, or donīt read articles or books or see videos specific about S&Gīs, etc, etc will be tougher.

Im not saying canīt win there, or that will not find also bad players, you will find (especially with S&G madness promo) im saying will be tougher considering the difference in time x blinds, blind structure, and more grinders there, so you need to get serious too if want to have a chance there versus smaller sites where will find a lot less numbers of good players (nothing to do with the rngīs).

yeah, blind structure was first thing I noticed, I like it a lot better on FT. Seems like everyone is shortstacked at bodog by 4th level. As far as staying away from ldr board players, seems like you don't really have time on FT to pick who you play, they fill up so fast you just have to enter where you can. By the time I look at who's entered, reg is closed. Maybe my comp is too slow. Would love to make poker my full time job but don't have time. FT is easiest for me to dep so I'll see how it goes w/o all the other stuff, at least I can make notes.

As far as rng's, just seems like whenever I have a suited hand on smaller sites, almost always hit 2 of the suits on the flop. Not so on FT. Same with 3 outers, seems to be more on smaller sites. Maybe my imagination.

A easy way of make table selection is to search on leadearboards for top 10, write it and then look for them when already in the table, like you mention some times games fill fast so not have much time reading name by name, but after your table pop up and during the game have plenty of time to look on the names on your list, when you spot one of this players just go to notes and you have the option to give color codes, code the player red so next time you look a game for register if a red player is there will be very notorious and can spot it fast. Then you can go for another top players in next games and in a couple days you could have at least some regulars spot it.

It looks not very important but it is, i do prefeer to take 5 minutes waiting to not enter with 2 or 3 of this players and wait until his 5-10 tables fill versus need to be fighting 30 minutes in the bubble because everyone knows what is doing (this happen to me some times before table selection, 20-30 minutes just fighting in bubble).

Also can search for players who take you out or players who end in top3 in your games, search them in traking sites to see if are winning players (make sure to do it when not have Fulltilt open).

google: Sit_n_go_strategy - Collin_Moshman book, and Treat your poker like a business - Dusty Schmidt, you can find them around. First is for strategy, 2nd is for help to how make the most profit when playing.

I cant make it also full time, only can play around 2 hours a day, but i do want my time playing is worth it.

    ----

    Edit.

A tip to skip regulars is to open a new table yourself, not register where you see people in, regulars usually will open new tables so you will see 4 or more tables open with only 1 player there so far, this tables are the regulars/multitablers, so if you enter in a already open table there is a chance a regular start it. Just wait when a new table open and get in there if is empty.
